Well the Atrix was MB860, the Atrix 2 was MB865. The Droid Bionic was the XT875. The Razor series are in the 900′s though…

Disappointing, was hoping for much more. Similar specs to Atrix 2 with minor improvements. I have Atrix 4G and after looking, once it is a time for upgrade, it will not be this phone. What happen to the rumored Tegra 3, 13 MP camera, etc. Looks like Samsung is on the tops of next phone shopping list.

Are we talking about the same 2 phones? The GS3 has 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB onboard + 32 expandable storage. Atrix HD has 1 GB of RAM and 8 + 32. The GS3 is already on the market. The Atrix HD isn’t. Ergo, Moto is far behind yet again.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t going to be a Motorola flagship device. AFAIK the numbering system MB8xx or MB9xx tells if it’s mid-range or premium (respectively). This seems like a mid-range phone. I wonder if it’s A15 or A9 =/

Although I agree with your statement, is it not true that with the S4 and the integrated LTE you would get better battery life? I mean the GS3 is only 400mAh bigger, but there are no complaints about the battery.

Um with the exception of an NFC chip, this is the same phone as a GS3, at least the american version. And it doesn’t have an ugly home button. Also if the number scheme is correct, they don’t even consider this a top tier phone.

what lack of execution? your comment makes no sense. Also Google has owned them for half a second, how could any of their designs be changed in that short of time? Phones are planned and designed for over a year before you see them on the street. The fact is that Motorola make some of the best hardware and in the few places they were lagging (screen and software) they are making huge improvements. I have a RAZR Maxx, and the Moto version of ICS is excellent, and way more stock than any other OEM skin.

MHL sounded like a good idea but hasn’t really panned out – and Samsung has pretty much destroyed it with the SGS3.

Seeing as the Atrix will release on ATT and the “MAXX HD” Will more than likely release on verizon… i dont see any competition between the two phones.

You’re right it is very easy to choose a really good device right now. The crazy thing is that the GS 3 is already out. How hard is it to make a phone better than whats already out on the market? I hope they do better with the Droid Razr HD though. If any of those Chinese variants are in fact the Droid Razr HD, then Motorola has made this all to easy.

Does anyone remember reading that the LTE chipsets are much more efficient on ATT due do their switching as opposed to running both @ the same time like VZW? I don’t think batt will be an issue.
