I realize that, but the “sort of” is the problem. They lopped off screen size, dumped the beautiful unibody, and axed the ImageSense chip and f/2.0 camera. At what point does it cease to be a One S variant?

It was also based around the fact that, until today apparently, there had been no talk about when the Inc 4G would finally materialize.

He also stated that to his knowledge verizon plans to begin using the tiered data plans in the final quarter of this year. And that anyone ordering any phone today or tomorrow shouldn’t have any issue keeping their unlimited plan. Hope this info helps someone out. If you’re still skeptical call verizon.

I’m currently eligible for an upgrade with Verizon. Just got off the phone with a very helpful verizon employee who scheduled to call me tomorrow afternoon to ensure I get my unlimited plan grandfathered in. I thought others in my situation might like to know.

I’m mostly happy with mine that I got two weeks ago… but I did have to flash a different ROM and Kernel on it. Still has its flaws but AOKP m5 and Franco.Kernel are working out to be a decent combo. I’m just hoping we get some real reviews in before Amazon’s gracious 30 day return policy expires for me.

I’ve been using a Galaxy Note from AT&T (work phone) for a while now, and while I love the phone very much, I do not love AT&T, their shabby voice quality, and the fact that I can’t seem to get data connectivity where I live or most of the places I go. I live in a Verizon 4G area and every day I lament my Verizon service. I still have the account and it’s eligible for upgrade. I think that this phone is the I’ll use my upgrade on and then sell the Note on eBay. Big screen, fast processor and 2G RAM. It’s a sweet phone. Unlike many of you here, I have no particular problem with TouchWiz, especially since I won’t keep it on my phone for long. This phone is going to get CM9 in record time and should have a brilliant dev community.

Will this be the one that finally gives the iPhone a run for its money on single-phone sales?

I’m glad VZW is getting the 16GB version as well. I like that I have the option to spend less money since I don’t need as much internal memory due to the presence of an SD card slot.

Oh crap. Best Buy did me a little dirty then. I always prepay my bill and I did not notice that. Wow. Besides that I have never had an issue with BBY. And because of a price match and a promo I got my One X for $99.99 and I picked it up in store so I didn’t have to wait for shipping. But that was dirty of them because they told me their was no activation.

I was 100% logical. They touted the shizzz out of the design of this phone. Did you really think they would drop then any “design” element?
