Actually, Apple is not making Verizon a ton of money. Apple charges the carrier way more than any other manufacturer, yet they make the phone for the same price, sometimes less than others. They make so much profit on every phone that it takes the carrier the full contract term to make up for the cost of the phone. They sell alot of them, but it takes an outrageous amount of money up front to sell Apple phones at a discounted rate to customers.

I would say there are other smartphone platforms out there that empty your bank account much quicker…Nav is FREE and so are 75% of the apps as well as apps that allow for FREE music downloads.

The update fixes all the bugs everyone was having to reboots, landscape, connection, new radios, etc, etc, and they added a bunch of new features.
