The htc droid incredible 2 and thunderbolt have 768mb of ram and the droid 3 and droid charge have 512 mb of ram which can’t support ics. That’s why they can get it more ram

ICS is crap. If your device works well, DON’T UPDATE IT. I have a verizon gnex and it sucks bigtime. If it works don’t fix it. These fandroid pages aren’t journalism, they are pr from google or whoever……ICS makes the phone crash and reboot all the time. It will ruin your phone.

Because the Samsung Charge is a complete POS and verizon declined to carry it anymore nor will they accept anymore Samsung wanna be DROIDS they put out. That phone wasn’t even worthy of the name DROiD in it’s title. I dumped mine after only 2 months.

That update says NOTHING about ICS,
http://support.verizonwireless.com/pdf/system_update/droid_charge.pdf , read it again. That update just released yesterday did however make some improvements to the Gingerbread update back In early December. The phone is now just fine AS IS.

Just yesterday, a VZW Level 2 Tech support rep told me Ice Cream Sandwich IS in the works for the Droid Charge. So who knows what to believe.

I’m guessing the Charge is not getting the update so that means it is fixing to get the ax. No wonder Verizon has it has a free phone right now. I’m looking at an upgrade and it was a toss up between the Bionic and the Charge but not now. I went through this when I was fooled by the free price tag on the Droid Eris but I will not be fooled again.
