300-400? what are you smoking? It’s an OLED plus screen. Sony’s xel-1 11 inch oled tv cost 2500 when it came out, same as LG’s 15 inch oled tv, 2500. This isn’t your typical Tab look at the specs. It’s being taken pre order online for 600-700!

Get real, this is Samsung. It will be more expensive than anyone will want and it will keep an outdated OS longer than it should. There will also be bugs that should have been fixed well before release that will never be acknowledged.

The 7 Plus should have come out earlier this year (alongside the 8.9″ version IMHO) and is still overpriced given its specs. Plus, the screen is a little underwhelming (1280×800 and/or Super AMOLED would be awesome on 7″).

In fact, all Sammy Tab price points appear to be $100 or $50 too high right now relative to the competition. I’d like to see the 16GB 7+ at $299, the 32GB 7+ at $349, the 16GB 7.7″ at $399 and the 32GB 7.7″ at $449.

And bring on the ICS updates, Samsung!

Well said broham, look forward to the 7.7, as i find it the perfect size also & $399 would be perfect. I have the transformer & an ipad2, but once i snatch this galaxy tab up those 2 will def start to collect dust. I’ll use my laptop if I want a bigger screen. I’ll NEVER buy a carrier branded tablet bc they get way 2 much of my $$$ already & I really only use my tablets at home. With wifi available almost everywhere now & the tethering options I never understood people buying tabs w/data plans. I know there are exceptions, but majority of the time you don’t need the 3G/4G signal.

Make a wi-fi version available prior to the carrier-device and set the price around 300-400.

7″ is the bees knees of screen sizes. Fits perfectly in any travel configuration. Not sure why the new 7+ has not gotten really any media attention. I don’t really believe in tabs with contract, who needs another bill to pay. Especially when 99% of Android tab owners have the ability to tether. Either way this is a solid device, hoping to pick one up soon.

I know how to make it sell like hotcakes. Price it below $300 without any contracts. Make a data plan pay-as-you-go. It will be most popular tablet on market.
