Just referring to the anti-competitive practices of Verizon. Verizon has proven over and over again that if you don't regulate them (via lawsuits or government regulation) they will focus only on profits a the expense of customer choice.

I would have gotten an iPhone if an LTE model had been released this year, and if they'd increased the screen size. A 3.5" screen is just too small for me; also I've found LTE to be really useful - when my home cable internet went offline due to system problems, I was able to use my current LTE phone via Hotspot to work on my computer at around 10Mbps. I use Verizon, and I'm not leaving the network. So, next year...if the iPhone 5 is an LTE model, and features at least a 4" screen, I may migrate to iOS.
Re malware - I'm not worried about malware per se on the Android platform; it looks like the major security risks are clueless users. I honestly doubt that any mobile OS is truly 'safe.' It's just that as you increase the possibility of return on investment for criminals - ie, a nice new electronic wallet on a mobile OS, full of security holes left there either through sloppy Google coding, carrier manipulation and sloppy work, or manufacturer-introduced security flaws...that's got to be seen as an invitation to the massive data-fraud criminal element worldwide. Just wait...it will happen.
