Love the Kindle and enjoy Android but this tablet will be no more successful than any other Non-iOS tablet that has hit the market. Price will be its strength but not running a standard Android operating system will be a weakness. What make the iPad great is the crazy amount of applications, the overabundance and quality of accessories as well as its seamless interaction with other Apple products.

Amazon is producing a tablet that will come up short and all but make a temporary dent in the tablet market.

***In the end I hope I am wrong – I would love to see an affordable tablet I can utilize and enjoy more than my iPad.

Agreed, I have the “old fashioned” Kindle and love it. The battery last a long time, it’s easy on the eyes, isn’t buggy, super lightweight, and more affordable up front. If Amazon really wants to excite Kindle owners, they should be pushing for more affordable e-books. $15.00 for a e-book is stupid…period.
