I did not like that either. I also noticed that when it was noon (not using 24 hour format) it showed as 00:12 PM instead of 12:12 PM. No clock I’ve ever owned shows noon or midnight as 00 in non 24 hour format.

Tried out the trial version and it’s quite polished looking.

One of the issues that’s a deal breaker for me would be, when you go to unlock your device, the lockscreen clock/date show on top of the live wallpaper set on the home screen. Makes a bit of a jumble on the screen.

Try Multicon. It’s free and lets you put 4 or even more icons on the same space that one normal icon takes up. Also it doesn’t require using a separate launcher like LauncherPro, if you don’t want to. I have my 16 most-used icons on my center homescreen, and they only take up the bottom row. I then have a Calendar widget displaying my calendar above that, which takes up most of the screen, and BW weather widget above that on the top row. You can make icons even smaller but I found it to get to be too convoluted. Multicon rocks!

I don’t get why they would have to do that. They are replicating an old style alarm clock. I used to have one when I was a kid. I don’t think HTC owns the rights to all of those old clocks, so why do they get to keep people from doing something similar now?
