I had a Droid X for about two weeks before I gave up on it. Maybe I have small hands and pockets, but it just wasn’t as manageable one-handed as I need from a smartphone. I have a rooted Nook Color for big screen Android goodness.

It worked great. I think swappa gets $10 for helping with the sale, I sold my X for $250 there which seemed to be the sweet spot for pricing. I was lucky and took one of my lines other upgrades so I got my tbolt for $199 but if you buy a phone at full price, it shouldn’t affect your verizon contract at all since you are buying it at the full (off contract) price.

Nice. How’d that work? I’m guessing you sell the phone then go buy a new phone at full price right? Does it affect the Verizon contract at all?

Someone correct me if I am wrong…but according to Wikipedia, the Incredible S (2) page says it has a ARMv7 dual core chip. I’m guessing that is a typo b/c everything I’ve seen so far says its just a newer generation Snapdragon.

Yep, I used swappa.com to sell my X and get my thunderbolt. Using their site was a much nicer experience than going the ebay route.

Actually according to the specs the size of the Incredible 2 is about on par with what Droid X and that phone is just about the sweet spot. The only difference is the Dinc2 is a hair thicker (11.2mm vs the Droid X 9.9mm).

Kinda wish HTC has thrown in a dual core CPU in this then I’d really consider ditching my DX for the Incredible 2.

Hopefully the rumors aren’t true that HTC locked this thing down in any way because I’d hate to go from one locked down phone to another :/

Speaking of which…anyone ever use Swappa.com to resell a phone or trade? Considering using that service maybe.

I called my local Verizon store and already have one with my name on it sitting in the back. One of the Peoria, IL stores got about 19 in stock. I love of OG Inc so much, I can’t wait to see what this bad boy will have for me!

Wake by pressing the optical trackpad is one of my favorite little tweaks in CM7. I’d miss it too, but this looks like one of the best upgrades from the DInc. 4.3″ is just too big.
