I totally agree. I had a NC and I hated the sickly yellow look on the screen. The GT screen is true white in color. I even took back the NC and traded it to see if I didn’t get a defective unit. Nope, that yellow tinted screen was still there. Some people can ignore that, but for something that I look at all the time, it bothered me. The GT works just fine for my needs. It’s small and less bulky to haul around. And quite frankly, Honeycomb isn’t all that. Froyo and Gingerbread work just fine.

Wow, why would you need all of those? For bragging rights like this? I’d say getting a non expensive hobby is in order. Where does all that disposable income come from? I have the money but I don’t think I would ever but that many tablets, nuts.

so funny how people think honeycomb makes a tablet and without it just cannot be a tablet. I see very little offered by the Xoom that I cannot do on the Gtab with a lot less bulk and cost. just my opinion; and many others in my cult.

$199 baby and i will get one to go with my iPad2, Streak7, and Xoom WiFi. I want them all sitting on my coffee table to impress my friends. Right? Thing is they only pick up the iPad2. Go figure.

They messed up SSSSOOOO BAD with this thing. I remember when it first came out, i wanted one like no other, because nothing tablet wise (besides the ipad) was out. The price was a major deal breaker then, and now that the market is flooded with tablets, they probably cant give these things away…its a shame

Agreed. I personally like the Galaxy Tab formfactor. I find it more comfortable than the Nook Color and you have the full set of capacitive buttons to work with along with BT, full makret access right out of the box, dual cameras, faster CPU and oodles of storage. I think the Sammy has a slight edge in screen quality over the NC too. Since I still feel the Xoom is overpriced & a bit bulky (not to mention its lackluster screen), I’d probably buy the wi-fi Galaxy Tab if I HAD to buy a tablet in the immediate future. It’s still a bit overpriced but I bet these things will drop in price tremendously shortly after launch. $279 Fry’s special, anyone?

P.S. Did anyone read the full text of the PR and notice that they bumped the wi-fi model up to 32GB internal storage + another optional 32GB via microSDHC? IF you can live with Froyo, that certainly beats a leftover iPad 1 32GB wi-fi IMHO. If this thing ever sees a Honeycomb or even Gingerbread update it’ll be icing on the cake if you can snag one for $250ish or so.

I would not purchase a Galaxy Tab 7, but it’s superior to the iPad in just about every conceivable way (other than the screen size, but some of us take that for a plus).
