I just bought a pair of TS02s and have a Droid I. I have in the past owned UltimateEars SuperFi 5 Pros and also havea pair of RE0's from head-direct. I've been using the TS02s for a day now, so not too long (whether you believe in burn-in or not... meh), and don't claim to be an audiophile, but I have decent taste. My experience with the TS02s so far is that they are a bit mushy at the high end (symbol crashes often lack in definition, for example) and there seem to be a few areas on the low end where they could use some more punch, but the mids are quite sharp and satisfying, and most of the bass spectrum is very good. I would say the sound quality from the TS02s is slightly below that of the RE0s, but the RE0s in my experience are cheaply made, and obviously they don't have a mic for the phone. Given the extra features fo the TS02s, I would say they are a fair deal at the same price as the RE0s (~$90), and given that the RE0s are concidered bty most audio people to be jsut about the best price/performance IEMs on the market, I'd say that's pretty good marks for the TS02s.

Nezhac,

Thanks for replying with your concerns. I want to address them each so you understand what we are trying to do here. We are not trying to reinvent the wheel here with our headphones but we are trying to show that people can be a little more responsible in HOW they manufacture.

1. Using wood does cut down tress but if you get it from a responsible source then they replant those exact tress. This is what we do.
2. using less plastic means using less petroleum based products. That speaks for itself.
3. We do not use any certification. After much research we found that most of these companies are used basically for greenwashing techniques. We have our sources with certain certifications but these certifying 'companies' want to charge us to use their logo and to re-certify us. We will not pay to use any logo on our products no matter who or what it is.

I do understand that some people are hesitant when reading about green products and so am I. I get very angry when I see companies using the green angle when I know there really isnt much to their products at all. We are trying to educate and make great audio products. If you don't want to buy our products that is your decision. Our company is an AUDIO company and we are trying to make a difference by showing people that they can make greener products. I have been to many factories over the years and I can tell you most do not care how are what they produce as long as the end result is making money. Our designs focus on making our AUDIO products as green as we possibly can.

We do not misrepresent any of our claims. We actually have gotten more complaints about people who say they will not buy our product because it is green and they think that means its of sub-par quality. I have been in this business for many years and trying to improve manufacturing is something I strongly believe in. I suggest before jumping to conclusions about us that you contact the company before a post war begins. I am more than willing to talk about our company with anyone. We have had numerous college projects done about us and I always work with students to show them how to make a better more friendly company.

Best regards,

First off, I'm a loyal droid life reader, I've been following for a long time, and would like to thank those who keep the site going.
Secondly, there's one particular thing that strikes me that no one seems to have mentioned in the comments:
"uses real wood for their headphones... and obviously facilitates the eco-friendly angle"
say what???
to get real wood you must: chop down trees, okay... so I went to the thinksound site:
"We... choose our wood from renewable sources"
what does that even mean? yes, if you cut a twig off a tree it grows back, if you level a forest it grows back after a long time too. Furthermore, there is no certification from any organization on thinksound's site to vouch for their eco-friendliness. WWF? Rainforest Alliance? Anything? well no, just have to trust them as to their source of wood.
Bottom line: think twice, not that these peopl are automatically cruel but they have an incentive to misrepresent information to sell more product (as does every single company in the world)

There are a lot of companies out there who do try to take advantage of people on this issue and it is sad. I am not naming anyone specifically but it really is shameful. We are not claiming to save the world but who are hoping to lead by example that a beautiful, high quality product can be made a little more efficiently. There are way too many companies basically putting makeup on a pig and wasting resources. There are also a lot of companies spend more money on the package than the actual product itself.

Call me a hippie, a tree-hugger or whatever you like but you will not find a single tie-died shirt in my closet. I am just a regular American who is trying to run a business with a little more responsibility than some others that don't feel like making a little extra effort.

Again, if you don't like our product then don't buy it. We are not forcing anyone but our reviews speak for themselves and the only people who seem to speak negatively are people who don't have the facts on our actual company and background. Feel free to visit our site and read about my background and let me know if you don't think I have the experience to make high end audio equipment.

Jawshua,
You are free to believe whatever you want but the fact is we are a high end and high quality audio company. We are just doing our best to do it with a little more efficiency and less waste than others. To think that this is a pure marketing gimmick is just an incorrect assumption. Our prices are actually lower than the companies we are compete against and no one is saying we are priced higher than anyone we compete against.

We do our best not to 'greenwash' people as well. We were even asked at a trade show last year to be placed in their "green" area but when we found out they wanted extra money for it we knew that they were using it for a marketing gimmick and we personally opted out and displayed with the rest of the audio companies.

Why is it whenever someone tries to change the way things are done for the better everyone automatically assumes that people are up to no good?

You may also want to check some facts. Why would you take facts from someone who graduated from clown college instead of an actual engineer? I am a fan of Penn and Teller but you can't seriously think that everything they say reflects all of society.

I am not trying to start a post war but I am trying to clear things up about our company and present facts. If you have any questions I am 100% open to talking to you directly and you can even email me. I will be 100% open and up front on everything we do.

You seem to be making the assumption that it's impossible to make something better for the environment without sacrificing quality or making it way more expensive. Do you think it's really all that advantageous to use PVC in the cables or that cardboard packaging is really more expensive than that annoying plastic crap? I mean yes the whole "green" thing is little more than a marketing scheme but that doesn't mean the headphones are any worse than any other $90 pair. Dismissing everything that claims to be good for the environment is just as lazy and misinformed buying all the green stuff without questioning it.

Everyone should watch Penn and Teller's episode on "green" matters, they put together the best example of how ridiculous it is and how people just get caught up in the trend and are totally misinformed.

But all of you who want to pay extra go right ahead.

Ehhh I'll spend a little extra and get the Bose. All this eco-friendly crap is just a ruse to make money. If they didn't send you a free pair we never would have heard of them on here.

You know what is even more stupid and evil is these websites selling carbon something or other where you offset your carbon blah blah blah. It's just like in the old west, with those charlattans selling magical tonics. I remember Al Gore talking about giving money to that website only to come to find out he owned the company... how nobel.

Damn hippies... see I didn't call you a tree-hugger.

I recycle, beyond that the rest of these money schemes can steal other peoples money.
