Reading these post of people arguing over which tablet is better than the other is some funny entertainment, certainly has kill about 30+min of my work day (111 comments.)

People are going to buy what they want to buy, mostly based on Hype. You can sell dog sh*t to a person if you present it right. The iPad has a lot of hype, mainly because its a Apple product, and so many people think you are nobody unless you own a overpriced device from Apple. Its not Apples responsibility to make flash work with their products, ask Adobe why they haven’t released iPad/iPhone compatible flash. When Android first released, it didnt have Flash either. Yes, the iOS has been around for a while, and still has no flash, but thats not Apples fault completely. And those that say NEVER (granted all these comments were 6mon ago) you can’t say NEVER when you don’t have the facts.

Point is, buy what you want. Don’t sit there and degrade one product because you like the other one better. Just f*ing buy it already.

(and no I don’t have an iPad1/2, I actually have an Acer Iconia)

For over 2 months before the Xoom release, I contacted Motorola about their upcoming pricing. Now I am nobody, except I have been in marketing for 20 years. I tried to convince them that although their product has a short-term marketable advantage, they were going up against Goliath and there primary objective should to gain some market share and get the device into he hands of users-their best sales team. Well, the rest is history, they should take every one of the marketing group and show them the door. Unless something compelling happens, I will likely purchase an iPad2 on Thursday.

I’m not a basketball fan but that’s really cool for the folks that are. Google definitely needs to get on the ball with Netflix and other content providers. I have no doubt they are working on it hard.

Apple has never sanctioned the ipad jail break (as far as I know). Moto intentionally made the Xoom unlockable with a path for getting back to a factory locked state. As for 1080p, I should have said 1080p playback. My bad.

It’s not Moto. When these codes get out, the site gets flooded because everybody hops on it at the same time. They can only handle so much traffic and sell so many at the discounted price. Plus, this was an employee discount code, so they had to stop it as soon as they realized that more than just employees were using it. It sucks, but until people can show some restraint and not act like it’s Black Friday every time we get a discount code, then maybe they would last longer.
