Sure, it's throwing subtlety out the window, but I love the Droid ad campaign. They work and genuinely get people amped up about the devices.

droiddoes.com (the official DROID site) has the full release version of the ad. It doesn't feature neither the 'tomorrow' sign, nor the piano music. And the DROID X appears in it.

I wouldn't do the commercial so close to launch. Maybe during the World Cup or something. or even more possible a week earlier because the only reason i know of the DX is from this website (Props to Droid-Life) and Verizon.

also i think they should of shown the phone maybe say exploding from the floating rock

actually I dont see the point of wasting thousands maybe even millions of dollars on one night for a phone.
Hows this for simple minded:
let's assume that the DX is as popular as the i*one 4
the promotion of that lasted at least a month so many people had time to decide "hmm i may want that let me either A) save up to get it B) arrive at the Verizon store early so i can get it"
that provided ample time to prepare for a DX purchase

now seeing as this commercial will be aired not only about 4-6 hours before the DX release, this would mean that anyone who may now want to get the DX won't be able to because of the long lines from people who planned ahead and already knew they were getting the droid X say 2 weeks ago. (sold out) Or they wont have the funds to buy the DX immediately.

OK, my prediction on the Seattle Droid X… it'll be at The Big Red Barn by Boeing Field. The Big Red Barn is the first manufacturing facility Boeing used. It's now a museum. That's my prediction.
