hmmm… interesting…. using it just as is in my car in the Droid cradle,
and I try to voice dial, if there is any ambiguity in the name, I have to
respond to an on-screen choice by selecting it with my finger……

I have no problem using voice dialing with my droid connected to my Sync in my explorer. but maybe that has to do with the sync feature of the car?

Strange, my unrooted Milestone (with running stock 2.1 on AT&T, originally from Telus) can voice dial via my BT headsets (Jabra JX10, Jawbone 2.) Clicking on the headset's answer button launches the Nuance Voice Dial app that is pre-installed on the device by Moto, which then prompts you for a command over the BT. Does the Droid not include the Nuance app?

I am a recent root-ee, and I was wondering if we will have to re-root when 2.2 comes out? Will I (temporarily) lose any functionality of my phone when it is updated OTA?

Am I crazy but I only see one other person commenting about the fact that
they have not yet added handsfree bluetooth voice dialing yet.
You know, the feature thats been in phones since 2003, and is required by state law in a bunch of states.
I LOVE MY DROID, however instead of FRAKKING FM radio's how about getting the voice dial over bluetooth working finally. It must be some kind of huge licensing problem and will probably never be done on the Motorola DROID because they should have been able to do it by now.
Rediculous. but of course my next phone will be an Incredible or a Droid2, or a BB Bold 9650.

Again, love my droid, but cheeses criest cant we get the bluetooth voice dialing done already. WTF !@!!!!

Uggg.should i wait to root now? I am excited with a new update. I guess i use too many apps that slow me down. Everyone can use a little more speed and stability..
