Verizon Approves LG Spectrum 2 Jelly Bean Update, Build Number VS93021B

Spectrum 2 Update

This afternoon, Verizon approved the Android 4.1 “Jelly Bean” update, build number VS93021B for the LG Spectrum 2. With Jelly Bean comes a ton of great features like Google Now, expandable notifications, camera software enhancements and more. 

Along with Jelly Bean, they have fixed some other things such as their NFC LG Tag software, their stock weather application has been updated, and a few of the pre-loaded widgets on the device have been removed (Social+, Today+, Power Control, etc.).

If you are the owner of the Spectrum 2, expect to see this update start rolling out sometime this week to your phone.

    The Verizon spectrum 2 jelly bean update is now live and rolling out. Downloading it as we speak. Will let you know how it pans out.

    Where are all the stupid heads who tend to say “LG is the worst at supporting and updating their products”? Maybe VZW has unleashed a bunch of updates but LG has opened the floodgates for updates recently! Spectrum 2, Optimus L9, both Optimus G’s shoot event the Thrill got in on the action with some ICS.

    This is actually one of the most solid devices in Verizon’s lineup. Also, I’m impressed at Verizon’s somehwhat timely, still technically slow updates. I mean, it’s been a pretty consistent update schedule since the S3 received Jellybean towards the end of last year…

    Its a good phone…same internals as the S3 with better screen. been waiting for 4.1 on this.

    I’m pretty sure we know what Jelly Bean is now. You don’t have to describe it 9412 times a day.

    It seems like vzw held captive all the JB updates to their devices and decided to unleash them all at the same time…
