See that is where u show your sheer ignorance…u think Apple’s profit share is all about “bragging” rights, when it is about a business having a superior business model that will enable them to remain viable and continue to serve its customers vs a multitude of oems selling a tom of garbage phones and not profiting from it, putting their future in the business in jeopardy. Profits is what keeps a business thriving…market share means NOTHING…get a clue

Yet another clueless fandroid with absolutely no business sense. Caring about profits has nothing to do with tying your self worth to a company. Profits are ALL about sustainability. If you want to buy your fake iPhones from anybody NOT named Samsung, then you had better hope that they start turning profits bcuz that’s the only way that they’ll stay in business. And guess what? I pay the same subsidized $200 price for my iPhone as you do for your iPhony, so whoever Apple is overcharging, it sure isn’t me. Do yourself a favor…get a clue

It does matter, you are just choosing to ignore the market share conversation because the profit conversation serves your argument better. Three years ago you would have been bragging about the iPhone’s market share dominance and saying that it did matter. What’s your problem with the Android operating system?

You want a rebuttal? I don’t care who makes the most profit. I have owned HTC, Nokia, and LG phones. I don’t care who makes the most profit or who has the most market share. The reason? Because I don’t tie my self worth to a company. Apple makes so much money because they overcharge you, with up to 60% profit margins on their devices. Why the heck would over-paying for your phone and tablet to help boost Apple’s profits make you proud and happy for them? Apple sure has some people wrapped around its finger.

It’s possible. Let’s say Apple $60, Samsung $30, HTC -$2, Motorola $-4

Total profit – $84, Samsung + Apple – $90, Samsung + Apple % – 90/84 = 107%

It’s just a fancy way of saying Samsung and Apple make money and everybody else loses it.

It’s because there is so much BS in the mobile hardware pricing industry. You really think that your carrier pays >$500 for a Galaxy SIII? Nope they pay closer to $300 once all the accounting trickery is over and done with.

You can’t calculate a companies losses into another companies profit. That losses is not always due to a lack of sales. It could be due to higher operating costs, or even lawsuits.

Unless they make a uniform device across multiple carriers and types. Not saying it was a flagship by any means but, had the RAZR Max HD been offered on all the carriers like the siii, we would have a different environment to compete in.
