Evernote Receives Major Makeover, ICS Theming and Lots of Awesome Included

Evernote has always been one of the top Android apps, but today’s update took it over the top. A new UI with panel swiping and easier navigation made this not just a “must have” but a “if you don’t have this, you are completely silly” type of app for Android users. The search functionality is as good as it gets, the tagging and organizational abilities are something all apps should build from, and the fact that their dev team is staying current with Ice Cream Sandwich is worth an applause. Grab the file from the Play Store link below, but be sure to watch the video as well if you are new to Evernote.

Evernote has been one my most used apps for a long time. I actually took all my notes for my classes this semester using it.

The latest update has been nothing but a headache for me. It keeps giving me a “Database Read/Write Error” with a note that it is “Upgrading [the] Database”. I hope they fix it soon because I am tired of getting this message (and having to click through the Exit Evernote button) about once every hour.

I’ve tried so many of these “task/To-do” apps and can’t land on a definitive one for work. I’ve been using Wunderlist for awhile and it’s pretty good. It misses the mark on a few minor issues (like no tagging).

You know, I’ll give it another try. I use G Docs/ Drive for notes and collaboration now because I’m not willing to pay for collaborative workspace for my family business. But who knows, maybe they’ll get me this time.

I feel like I should be using this more, but I don’t. At least for those quick one offs where I can record my voice and play it back later. I can’t tell you how many good ideas I’ve lost because I don’t record them in one way or another.

Even if I don’t use an app, I love to see this devs adopting the new Android UI standards.

Nice link, fairly interesting read. Not sure why people down-voted. It’s always good to hear about new streaming services.

I have it, time for a revisit to check the update, but like MG, I just never got into it as well, and believe me I should change that, been using mobisle notes on the Gnex.
