Updates are rolling out to the Galaxy S8 Active and Galaxy S7 Edge on T-Mobile, security updates to be exact.
Both are detailed as the January security patch, with the S8 Active carrying a new baseband of G892USQS1ARA1, while the S7 Edge’s new baseband is G935TUVS4BRA1.
If you own one of these devices, start slamming that update button in the Settings menu.
Just got it on the S7 Edge…
Checked on my s7 edge and no update. My mother has the LG Aristo and that on T-mobile support for updates says hers has on on January 8th, but never updates to it. Starting to think they are not giving it to specific people.
If only they made a Note Active. I hate rounded edges on phones, as it makes them too damn delicate and hard to use/fit with a glass screen protector.
I would be all over an active note! The larger battery and ruggedness is why I waited for the S8 Active. I can’t have a fragile phone in my line of work.
No s8+?
S8 active on ATT is still on December security. Maybe I’ll get January’s in February 😉
