This past February, we learned that ESPN+ would launch this spring for the price of $4.99/month. Today, we’re learning that the service will launch April 12 to be exact, along with a “redesigned and reimagined” ESPN app.

According to the announcement, ESPN+ will feature an absolute ton of stuff, including live sports, on-demand programming, original content, plus an entire library of sports-related goodness to consume.

Here’s what you need to know with regard to accessing ESPN+ once it is launched.

ESPN+ will be an integrated part of a completely redesigned and reimagined ESPN App that will be the premier all-in-one digital sports platform for fans. ESPN+ will also be available through ESPN.com. The new ESPN App and ESPN+ showcase the culture of breakthrough innovation at ESPN and across The Walt Disney Company.

As which live sports you will get through ESPN+, the announcement specifically mentions MLB games, NHL matches, boxing bouts, MLS snoozefests, PGA tournaments, Tennis Grand Slams, plus thousands of college sports matchups.

ESPN also mentions that diehard baseball fans can subscribe to the MLB.TV Out of Market service for $24.99/month, directly through the ESPN app.

Speaking on the app, we don’t know exactly when the new app will launch (we assume ahead of April 12), but ESPN does mention the new app can be highly personalized to each user and that the, “reimagined ESPN App will be the premier all-in-one digital sports platform for fans.”

Again, ESPN+ will launch later this month for $4.99/month or $49.99/year.
