Warby Parker has spilled the beans during a quarterly earnings call. The first Android XR-powered intelligent eyewear will go up for pre-order on November 12. That’s next week, people!
This has been quite a long time coming. Google began its first teases of intelligent eyewear (smart glasses) back in December of 2024. It’s been three years of waiting. The breakdown of the ecosystem is simple enough: Google made the software, Samsung is producing the hardware, and that pair have partnered with design houses (like Warby Parker and Gentle Monster) to draw up attractive frames.
Here’s the important part from the Q3 call.
“One week from today, on November 12, we’ll begin accepting pre-orders for our first Intelligent Eyewear collection and look forward to delivering customer orders during the holiday season,” said Dave Gilboa, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Warby Parker. “We can’t wait for customers to experience these remarkable products firsthand.”
While it’s great to know when pre-orders are going live, we still don’t know pricing. However, you can now go to Warby Parker’s website and schedule a time to go into a store for a demo with the glasses. We should have pricing soon!
Excited?
