I bit and I did go look it up. It has some nice specs: 1.5Ghz dual core, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD slot, 7" 1280x800 screen, front and rear cams, very large 5000mah battery, metal back shell, Android 4.0.4.

On the other hand, it is only has a dual core non-Tegra processor, not the 4+1 core Tegra 3. It does not have GPS. It is quite thick and heavy compared to Nexus 7. It is not running JellyBean (yet, claims it's coming). It is not a highly supported Google Nexus device. For only $170 plus shipping, it is probably one of the best no-name tablets that I have seen, but I would still choose a Nexus 7 over it.

Also, it says "ainol" on the front and that just seems to remind my brain of a word that I don't want to have to stare at when I am using my tablet.

Though this might be the best "Android" tablet there is a better 7-incher that just hit the market place: check out the specs on the Novo7 Flame. Imo, it exceeds in too many areas to settle for a Nexus, or even iPad for that matter.

Same, I got mine a few days after it hit stores and have only one issue show up since then. About two weeks ago I found two dead pixels. Definitely not going to try to exchange it though as I have not had any other problems with it at all and I can only notice them if the tablet is about two inches from my face with a pitch black background on the screen. No screen lifting, creaking noises or any other screen issues ere. No screen flickering after having to flash the latest factory image either (soft bricked it - my fault). I absolutely love my Nexus 7.

The screw thing is not a fix its a placebo. The screen overlay is attached via glue. tightening the screws doesnt make the glue better. The reason why it seems to work for people (and I did try it) is because you press on the screen some when you take the back off and tighten the screws so when you put things back together it looks like its fixed cause the sceen has been pressed back on the glue. Some time later itll lift back up again because its not fastened by screws. :/

Having said that: if you have to take something apart to fix it when it arrives it goes back to my point of not being a great product.

No he was correct...best Android tablet!! Please don't get all crazy and say this is better than the iPad. I have both and this is missing some things that the iPad can do. One of the main issues is I can't play my movies on my television. I know that was to keep the price down and I accept that, but my iPad can do this.
