  • Just my opinion but I think an important point was missed in response to the Moto X2 question. Better display, faster chipset, upgraded camera censor would all be nice, but make the next moto x a quality phone at the price point of a moto g and I would literally buy 25 of them. I’m going to be buying phones off contract for a long, long time to come it seems and affordability is going to be one of my biggest concern in the future.

Just my 2 cents. Hope you guys have a great holiday

  • Ironic that I asked the question about favorite person in tech and Kellen said “Jlo” which is my nickname…

    • I do love the G2, just not sure it’s ready for the crown. I’d put it top 3 or 4 though. LG did a hell of a job with that phone.

        • LG’s skin/UI definitely doesn’t do it any favors. Any reviewer or enthusiast I’ve heard talk about the G2 pretty much think it’s the worst UI out of the other OEMs and is the worst part about the phone (but still hold the phone in high regard overall).

  • Yay me! I got one of my questions answered. Appeal to the stomach (candy question). 🙂
No Broncos fans, huh? And don’t talk to me about last night’s game.

  • If I were to do a Moto X sequel a few thing I would do/like to see:
No sequel name. Call it a Y, Z, or even 2, but not X-2.
The screen can stay 4.7inches. 5inches tops. Just use a better quality display.1080p. Source it from Sony or LG.
Work on the camera. 10-12MP is okay.
More options on front customization. Not just black/white trim.
Larger internal storage. Start @ 32GB.
    Longer battery life.

Now what I actually expect Moto to do if they make a follow-up:
    Name. No idea.
Screen. From a pricing stand point it will probably still be 720p but a slight bump in ppi.
They know to fix the camera.
Customization options will probably depend on what’s been selling. I can actually see some colors/finishes dropped.
    Storage. 50:50 odds on this.
    Battery. Ditto.
Processor. *We* have to remember the X line is not high-end. Nor is it a mid-ranger. Also now that we are living in a 4.4.X world a need for blazing fast processors isn’t as crucial. A SD800 will be old hat so they may go that or the new 64bit architecture mid-range processor (810 or 805. I forget the series number) that was developed.

  • you’ll get used to looking and functioning like a zombie every day soon enough, kellex! 🙂

    • Your pic reminded me that I posted the question “Who is your daddy and what does he do?” in the Q&A question article and it got upvoted pretty good, so I was hoping they would answer it, lol.

  • I agree with the wishlist for the Moto X follow up. A bit bigger screen and 1080p and a top of the line processor. BUT… with the full customization right of the bat, not months later.
