  • Still haven’t updated since they changed the UI.  Waiting for the market comments to finally be positive about an update.  I might be waiting a long time the way it seems.

  • Maybe they should put some of that $5 billion into their own application. Seriously, both the Mobile web version and App are so slow. It’s almost painful to use it, as if Facebook wasn’t already painful.

  • Hope it fixes the huge lag I’ve been getting ever since the new design. Every time I click something it takes ages to load.

  • The right changelog is posted. Here’s the features:

Navigate anywhere including groups, apps, pages and settings with a single press.
Look through friends, subscribers, apps and pages.
See your friends tags on picture and zoom: New photo viewing experience.
    Faster notifications.
Play games and access your favorite apps on the go.
Access to mobile timeline (if you already have a timeline).
Access to friend lists and subscriptions.

  • I haven’t been able to use the official Fb app for over a year now.  It constantly force closes on me.  I use Friendcaster.

    • Hmm I figured out how to get push notifications. Download a Blackberry Emulator on your computer. Sign into the Facebook app on the emulator. Check that you want notifications. Let it load your news feed. Sign out of the Facebook app on the Blackberry. Make sure notifications is checked in the Facebook Android app. Voila! It works perfectly. I tested it and got notifications almost instantly. Sucks that iPhone and Blackberry have push notifications but we don’t, unless you do this work around.

  • actually getting fb notifications would be nice. they’ve been broken on my gnex for a while now

  • Why does it say push notifications in the change log when there is no option for it in the settings?

      •  I think it’s silly that you can’t get notifications for notifications other than event invites, friend requests, and messages. I would like to get a push when someone comments (optionally, of course).

        • Not true. The app notifies you for everything, including comments. If it’s not working for you then try the work around that was posted in the earlier comments.

  • Honestly, if it wouldn’t be such an inconvenience trying to get in touch with friends, I’d give up facebook once and for all

    • I’m the only one of my friends who has deleted their face book and the only problem I have found is seeing if the girls I meet at parties are actually as cute as I remember.. lol

    • I’ll second this. I much prefer Google + for the long thoughts and interesting discussions, and Twitter for the witty comments and short observations. Facebook is good for neither, and increasingly full of idiots. I have 100 or so friends on there, but the truth is that there’s only a core group of about 20 people that I really care about staying in touch with, and if I could get those 20 people over to G+, I’d happily delete facebook from my life.

  • my best friend’s step-mother makes $83 an hour on the internet. She has been without work for 10 months but last montħ her income was $8373 just working on the internet for a few hours. Read more on this site… ŁazyĆash5.ċom

    • That’s amazing!  How can “I” make that much money just working on the internet for a few hours???

    • Okay so it’s not just my Droid X. That’s pretty disheartening that it struggles on a brand new phone.

    • agreed, it is absolutely terrible.  But I compared it to my gf’s iphone4 and hers was pretty slow as well(both on verizon).  So it made me feel a little better lol

    • It’s actually not just the data speed. The app is horrifically slow in general, especially when you compare it to what you get when you go to Facebook’s mobile site.

I guess they just want everyone to use that instead of the app. If that’s the case, I’d rather they just put the mobile site in a HTML 5 shell and called it an app. That would be infinitely preferable.

    • FriendCaster is a MUCH better app. Slightly less polished looking, but WAAAAAY more functional!

      • I use both. Facebook for posting, pics, video, etc and friendcaster for notification and copy and paste.
