Best Buy has the 16GB Nexus 7 (2013) for $195 Today Only

Best Buy is currently hosting a 1-day online sale for the 2013 Nexus 7 with 16GB of storage for $194.99. That’s a $35 discount, or the exact price of a new Chromecast should you not own one yet. I’m not sure you’ll find a better deal anywhere, especially on a new unit which this appears to be.

With X-mas only two weeks from today, I’d say you just found someone an amazing present.Ā

Wal-mart still has this and you can pick it up in store same day if it’s available.

  • Tay

The price isn’t worth the random reboots

  • John

    Amway has it for $137.99

  • pball_inuyasha

As sweet as this deal is, I’m glad I went with staples $50 off deal. Haven’t seen the tablet cheaper than $180 yet. Also sold my Nexus 7 2012 32gb for $150, so I upgraded for $30 bucks which I don’t think you can beat.

  • RichFromBX

pretty decent deal – I really like mine but as much as I love mine I think might actually have to sell it. I’ve been using it for work more and I’m finding the screen too small…figures, I just got the KitKat goodness…. šŸ™

Amazon has $30 off the 32GB too. (BB does not) My son’s b-day is in January, and I’m considering one for him – just have to decide whether to pay the extra for the 32GB. Might have to pull the trigger (and go through the agony of having it hidden away until the end of January).

      • laheelahee

just get the 16GB and buy a USB OTG instead

  • jb

That’s the price in store too. I was just there an hour ago.

“With X-mas only two weeks from today, Iā€™d say you just found someone an amazing present.”

Actually, the word is Christmas. šŸ™‚

  • SeanDon11

If you think this is cheap, If anyone is interested, I have three 32GB Nexus 7’s I’m selling for the same price. New in the box.

    • flosserelli

I might be interested. Hit me up at my username @live.com

  • djdsf

I’m buying it. I have a ton of certificates from the my best buy program. So essentially I could get this for say $20

  • imnotmikal

Alternatively, if you buy a 2013 N7 and a Chromecast at the same time from the Play Store, you get $35 in Play Store credit, essentially making the Chromecast “free”

    • j

yea but it would take me 35 years to spend $35 in the play store šŸ™‚

      • clobberedchina

The teenagers in the family wanted Play Store gift cards this year. Apparently they can burn through that stuff pretty quick.

    • Detonation

Or you can buy a Chromecast with the $35 you saved here and have that other $35 remain as cash in your pocket rather than credit.

  • CaptainCaleb

Can anyone convince me why I need a Chromecast if I already have 2 Xboxs(Xboxes?) and a Roku? I don’t see the point of owning one.

    • hnasty

There is no convincing to be done… there’s no point in owning a Chromecast if you have all of these things.

    • j

Nothing really. you can do everything chromecast can do with those, including streaming local content. doesn’t mean it will as easy, but doable.

    • LP @ThisisEther

Portability and cost maybe…Take it anywhere, easily.

    • TJWaterskier

The benefit of a Chromecast over similar products is ease of use for your friends. With zero learning curve, my friends can cast youtube videos or pause Netflix etc from their own phones with ZERO setup. I like that they can, from the comfort of their own phones and apps, add things to my TV’s queue.

  • Untrue – paid $191 with tax on the 16GB WiFi N7 the day before Thanksgiving at Staples with their $50 off any tablet deal…. THEN I returned it Black Friday because it legitimately had light bleeding around the edge of the screen, to which they price matched their $199 price for the tablet, and combined the $50 off to make it $158 with tax, or $80 off in total

If you bought it from Staples, they will combine and price match this $195 price with your $50 off effectively making it even cheaper than what I paid!

  • Dirnk

Slightly off-topic, but what’s the little rectangular bit on the side in that picture? (SD SLOT?!?!?!?!)

    • StuckOnVerizonForever

I think they used a picture of the LTE version. No SD slot ever on a Nexus.

    • Ken Bosse

my guess would be sim card slot, but dont quote me.

      • capecodcarl

Looking at my 32GB Nexus 7 there is nothing in that position, so I would agree that must be the SIM card slot for the LTE version, they just used the wrong image.

    • Silver Veloz

That’s not on my WiFi version of the device. Curious?

      • BrianRoskamp

WiFi-only doesn’t require a SIM card, so it doesn’t have the slot

    • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

      SIM Slot

    • MistaButters

      SIM slot

  • Silver Veloz

Great price. I was able to get in on the Staples $50 off and got it for $179. Love this device.

  • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

not bad…Though now I’m actively thinking about the LG… Or that other Sony Tablet they released yesterday

    • StuckOnVerizonForever

      The Z Ultra? Phaaaaaaaablet

  • ToddAwesome

    this is the teats!

  • binqker

    effing cheap!

  • StuckOnVerizonForever

If you have a SYWR at Sears, you can price match this there, and use the “Spend $100 get $50” on this, making it $140 or so

    • Good_Ole_Pinocchio

Would they say at that point “SIR YOU CANNOT COMPOUND THESE!”? . . .

      • StuckOnVerizonForever

They can’t stop me. It’s 195 on amazon now. No tax for most.

    • Rich Robinson

      What’s the “Spend $100 get $50” – I can’t find it anywhere on their site…

    • spark

What is this spend $100 get $50? Is it a coupon for SYWR?

  • Mitchman

    Damn that is cheap.

    • j

      Must.. resist.. all.. N7 deals.

Resistance is nearly futile, but I’m holding strong for a N10 or 8 or 9 or 8.9 or whatever the f we get.

      • Mitchman

I bought a N7 (2013) at launch earlier this year.
