According to Notion Ink CEO Rohan Shravan, Google will release Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) source on November 17, which is this Thursday. In a blog entry concerning their support system, he decided this would be a great outlet for letting the world know of the latest Android plans.

17th is when we are expecting ICS to be finally out with the source, and then you will see whole community…

If you are wondering why on Earth we are trusting anything a guy like this says, knowing his past track record, just understand that he was actually right in the past when it came to Android source. Is he right here? Tough to say. November 17 is the day that the Galaxy Nexus is supposed to launch in Europe and is also the day after Google’s Music event in Los Angeles. This could turn out to be one hell of a week. Now, if we could only get Verizon to announce the phone for their network, life couldn’t get much better.
