DROID X Full Page Ad Takes Shot at iPhone

The Droid X pre-sale at Best Buy may have come to an end, but the marketing campaign for this new device from Verizon is just getting started.  The New York Times today featured a full page ad for the newest Droid family member that managed to slip in a shot at the new i*hone and its growing list of issues…

“And most importantly, it comes with a double antenna design.  The kind that allows you to hold the phone any way you like and use it just about anywhere to make crystal clear calls.”

Poor i*hone.  The Droid X will definitely be here on July 15th.

Cheers Stephan and Louis!

  • Good to hear that The New York Times today featured a full page ad for the newest Droid family member.

  • july 15,2010 is already gone and July 12, 2011 will coming in next few months but Motorola your product is absent fron India market and UK market….

  • Funny how they were almost out of the business soon after the iPhone came out and are just barely hanging on at the moment. Have your fun for now though, wont last long..

  • Definitely is an upgrade over the tiny distorted picture on the current call screen. And is that a twitter status below the picture too?

  • Hello friends,The preorders for the X wont start until the 13th and only available over the internet. May be common knowledge but it was the first I heard of it.

  • I think they were talking about having the double antenna so you can hold it anyway you like BEFORE the iphone issue was widespread and well known.

  • I can not be on the phone and surf the web or send pic messages at the same time ..it bugs for some reason.. does any one know if the droid x will allow u to do these things simutaneously …..thank u

  • The screen shouldn’t have yellow spots on it,the volume buttons should be in the right place, and the proximity sensor should work.

  • The people @ Motorola have got to quit with that eFuse nonsense before they ever say a WORD against Apple…
