We are hours away from Pixel 11 series pre-orders opening up and you getting the chance to decide if it’s time to g upgrade or not. Google is expected to open pre-orders on August 12 at 7AM Pacific, hours before they host some sort of celeb-filled event in NYC.
While we are still waiting for everything to become official, we really do know it all. Thanks to a massive Amazon listing slip-up a month ago, we have had official imagery and pricing for some time. We’ve also seen Pixel 11 series specs a couple of times now, along with even bigger dumps of photos of the devices. Even yesterday, we saw a carrier store get its shipment of demo units in that someone was willing to take pictures of.
Google was pretty solid at keeping the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold a secret, until they weren’t. The moment that set of Amazon listings hit, all hell broke loose in the retailer slip-up world.
Pixel 11 series pre-orders, specs, pricing, and promos
To quickly recap tomorrow’s expectations, the reason we believe there will be a 7AM pre-order window is because both the Google Store and Best Buy have countdowns to that moment. Yes, that happens to be hours before Google’s event, but this is not an unhead-of schedule, as Google did something similar last year.
Again, we are fully expecting Google to announce the Pixel 11 series in the morning, open pre-orders, and then host and event to showcase everything later.
As for Pixel 11 series pricing, thanks to several early listings, we believe the following table is accurate. The Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro will both start with 256GB of storage this year, which brings their starting price up to $899. This is not a price increase over last year, it just removes the entry level model. Both the Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold are seeing $100 price increases on all options, though.
| 256GB | 512GB | 1TB | |
| Pixel 11 | $899 (12GB) | $1,019 (12GB) | X |
| Pixel 11 Pro | $1,099 (12GB) | $1,219 (16GB) | $1,449 (16GB) |
| Pixel 11 Pro XL | $1,299 (12GB) | $1,419 (16GB) | $1,649 (16GB) |
| Pixel 11 Pro Fold | $1,899 (16GB) | $2,019 (16GB) | $2,249 (16GB) |
As far as specs, the below table is the most recent. You’ll notice that it doesn’t detail many major upgrades in terms of hardware, but we are expecting Tensor G6, a new security chip, and some sort of upgraded main 50MP camera in the Pro models.

Of course, we’ve talked quite a bit about the new Pixel HiLight (formerly Pixel Glow) lighting system that will take the camera flash and have it double as a colorful notification system.
There will be Gemini Intelligence powering the device out of the box. Google will likely pitch these phones as devices that’ll do things for you, proactively, but only time will tell if it actually will. And who knows how long that’ll happen before you are asked to pay a subscription fee to keep it going.
What else will be new? There is less RAM (12GB vs. 16GB) in the 256GB models of the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL, yet they don’t have price decreases. Thank you, AI.
When pre-orders open, there will be some sort of “exclusive” offer from several retailers, including Google. Most have kept that offer out of the public eye, but it’s looking like a $100 discount from some places. Google Fi is also going to run a promo that’ll get you a Pixel 11 Pro XL for $100 (via bill credits).
And that’s mostly it, as far as we know. We’ll hold out hope for surprises from Google, but the early info has kicked into overdrive in recents weeks and we really do think we know most of it.
The Made by Google Pixel 11 event kicks of at 3PM Pacific (6PM Eastern) on August 12 and you can tune in below.
Pre-ordering the Pixel 11 series or skipping?
