  • What is going on with ics on the RAZR/Maxx? My phone is half of what it used to be. Do you forsee an update to fix the battery issue?

    • My battery’s improved with ICS on my RAZR. Sound like you got a bad update file or install.

      • I’m on my second replacement phone since the update. And I’ve reloaded the o.s on my current replacement phone. My friend had the same issues with his after the update.

  • I read a ton of stuff online outside of tech news (DROID – LIFE being my preferred, obviously) and I have to admit that it’s really nice to see nothing but civility and a lot of awesome insight in the comments section (check out the comments section of political sites or editorials to see the divide I’m getting at!)

This site was instrumental in helping me navigate my options during the rollout of Verizon’s “Extract Everything” plans!
Saying that you guys are simply awesome would not be saying enough!

    Thanks!

  • I really like these Q&A sessions. I think it gives the readers a chance to contribute and it gives the editors a chance to interact a little more with the readers. It also lets us get to know the DL staff a little better. BTW, Kellen, I am from Arizona so I know what it’s like not to have an NFL team too, lol.

  • Definitely would love more game reviews. Since I got the SIII I’ve been making up for lost time. My DInc didn’t handle the gaming front so well.

  • +1 for Nexus 7. Got one yesterday and loooooooooove it! Like they said, just buy one already, you won’t regret it!

  • I love these articles! Great questions and great responses. Learn a lot about the writers and readers of this site. That’s what makes this the best Android blog out there!

Oh yea and gotta love that Eric is down the street repping the Colts!!

    • I think having a separate forum is a little redundant because there is so much discussion going on in the comments for each post. That being said, if it were used less for discussion and more for a knowledgebase and support, I could see the benefit.

  • I hate you guys and I really want to get a Nexus 7.

It’s really not your fault. It’s more Asus’ fault for screwing up the bootloader unlock tool when you RMA your unit.

  • Because Android life is relatively dead, you should just combine AL with DL. I don’t really mind hearing about news on other carriers or non-Verizon phones. It would be much more convenient and it would appeal to a wider audience.

  • Droid-Life will always be the only Android tech site/blog I’ll ever need to go to since you guys pretty much cover it all! Keep up the excellent work!

    Droid-Life F. T. W.!

  • How about this question. Why have you abandoned Android Life again? How about just merging that site into Droid Life and giving Android Life a merciful death?

    • I think that that has already been happening. I’ve noticed the others posting quite a bit on this site lately.

    • It’s kind of obvious from the name. This is Droid Life, not Android Life. The site was started as a blog that focuses on the Android devices with Droid branding, which are exclusive to Verizon. Kellex himself talked about this in a previous Q&A, I think. It was the OG Droid that started it all. Android Life was started to cover all the Android news going on outside of Verizon. Droid Life could change its focus and start covering anything to do with Android but it would lose its identity. There are tons of other sites related to Android and I don’t think we need any more redundancy. I think Android Life would be fine as sort of a sidebar, kind of like alt.engadget.com, but if we mix in too much non-Verizon stuff I think it would kill Droid Life.

  • It seems the other carriers supply is starting to surpass anyhow (OneX). I sometimes wish I wasnt stuck with Verizon…

    • It’s a sad truth. It seems Verizon is getting fewer and fewer devices to be excited about and the other carriers are getting more and more. Maybe if Verizon wasn’t #1 they would have more motivation. It seems they are content resting on their laurels.

  • Great job guys. I really like how you guys are selective with your news. You’re right, I don’t really care about some midrange device launching in Australia. Keep up the good work.
