A fresh Android 17 beta just arrived on Pixel phones, this time is Android 17 QPR2 Beta 2. This new release is here as mostly a mystery, so we’ll dive in shortly to see what’s new.
Google released this new QPR2 Beta 2 build without a changelog, at least at this time. They simply pointed out that this QPR2 beta is a part of the Quarterly Platform Release (QPR) program that will go stable alongside a Google Pixel Feature Drop down the road. This QPR2 is expected to hit stable and release by December 2026.
The build info can be found below. As you know, this is available on the Pixel 6a up through the Pixel 10 series, including the Pixel 10a. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will not receive this update, as it will release to stable outside of their supported window.

The best way to get this update is through the Android Beta Program (sign-up). If you are into flashing images, there are OTA images available (here) too.
We’ll update this post if we have more to share.
