Not to be outdone by AT&T, T-Mobile expanded its 4G LTE network into 14 new markets today.

The move is one of many by the carrier in recent months to improve the quality of its 4G network. T-Mobile recently began using spectrum acquired from US Cellular and MetroPCS to improve LTE speeds, and plans to purchase chunks of Verizon’s 700 MHz A-Block for future expansion. The developments are a promising response to T-Mobile’s middling performance in JD Power’s August assessment of US cellular networks.

Here’s a complete list of the newly-covered locations:

  • Ocala, FL
  • Palm Bay-Melbourne-Titusville, FL
  • Punta Gorda, FL
  • The Villages, FL
  • Valdosta, GA
  • Coeur d’Alene, ID
  • Twin Falls, ID
  • Bay City, MI
  • Holland, MI
  • Saginaw, MI
  • Gulfport-Biloxi, MS
  • Las Cruces, NM
  • Thomasville-Lexington, NC
  • Olympia, WA

So, T-Mobile customers: will the news dissuade you from jumping ship to AT&T? John Legere certainly hopes so.
