The Google event of the year is going down on May 10-11 and if you are any sort of a developer, you won’t want to miss it.  Registration for I/O opens up on Monday (February 7) and the tickets will probably sell out within minutes, so you may want to start warming up those credit cards now.

Here are ticket prices:

Early Bird Price (until 4/16/11) $450
List Price (starting 4/17/11) $550
Academia (student, faculty) $150
BootCamp +$100 (all registration types)

Last year we saw the first bits and pieces of the web-based Android Market, Google Music, a ton of Froyo stuff and was basically the event of the summer.  This year it could get even nuttier.  Honeycomb and a variety of tablets will be in the hands of end-users, Android 2.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) could make an appearance, and then there is always the chance that Google will dish out some freebies to those in attendance.  A must-attend event.
