With new devices launched and plenty more to come in 2016, it’s understandable if you have questions regarding your best course of action. For example, is the OnePlus 3 a good buy right now at $399, considering new Nexus devices are on the way? Or, will the next Galaxy Note absolutely dominate any other smartphone at launch? We would be happy to answer any questions you might have on new devices, or really, any other topic you want to discuss. (more…)
We have gone over all of your submissions for Volume 40 of the Droid Life Q&A Sessions, and we now have answers for you. We received quite a few questions this week, ranging in topics from what we saw at Google I/O, to what’s the best way to get started in the connected home game. We also covered whether we feel it would be right for Google to take a more “controlled” approach toward Android updates.
Take a look at our answers below, then let us know if you agree in the comments. If you don’t, we will be more than happy to argue with you. Bring it on. (more…)
Google I/O is now past us, but the excitement of what’s to come still lingers. As you will have noticed, Google didn’t actually release anything last week, but announced a ton of potentially sweet products that will hit the market in the summer and fall seasons. There is an upgraded Google app experience (Google Assistant), Google Home, plenty of Android N stuff to be excited about, plus the Allo and Duo apps.
With I/O done, we now have other things to look forward to, such as Moto’s (Lenovo) upcoming flagship for 2016, the Galaxy Note 6 from Samsung, as well as the OnePlus 3. There’s a whole lot to discuss! (more…)
On Monday, we posted up Volume 39 of the Droid Life Q&A Sessions, looking directly at you to submit questions. As always, you didn’t disappoint. We received tons of a great questions, ranging in multiple subjects. We were asked about the Nexus 6P, our current thoughts on Android N, which fitness devices we love, and even our predictions for the Portland Trail Blazers.
With Google I/O coming up and Motorola probably launching a device or two, 2016 is about to heat up. Much like you, we are looking forward to it. Fingers crossed for a blazin’ rest of the year.
Take a look at our answers below. (more…)
We are back again for another round of the DL Q&A Sessions, this time for Volume 39. The Q&A Sessions is your chance to ask the DL staff whatever you would like, whether it is Android-related or any other topic. To get your brain juices flowing, we could discuss our latest round of device reviews, what has us excited for Google I/O next month, or even talk about sports. We love sports. It’s entirely up to you.
These posts are also a very good time to chat with us in the comments, as we read every single comment that comes in. If you have post suggestions or maybe want to rage at us for how much we are paid by every company to post positive things (sarcasm), now would be the time. (more…)
We have gathered up your questions from this past week, and are now ready to share our answers with you. This week, many questions focused on the modular state of affairs taking place in the smartphone industry, with a few of you questioning if modular phones are just a gimmick. Other questions focused on how good Project Fi is (now that it’s invite free), and we even got asked who would win a fight between Batman and Superman.
There were a ton of questions, so we did our best to focus efforts on the ones we could handle in a timely manner.
Now, onto the questions! (more…)
We have a Galaxy S7 in-house, Galaxy S7 Edge should arrive any day, and we’ve gotten a few good looks at the HTC 10. With all of that, there’s so much to talk about. The DL Q&A Sessions are your chance to ask us anything that might be on your mind, whether it’s Android related, or anything else entirely.
For those contemplating a Galaxy S7 purchase, you can ask us anything about that device, or maybe you want to look ahead at what to expect from HTC and LG. We still have a bit before G5 pre-orders go up, but we have handled the device and can tell you a few things if you want to know. We could even talk Google I/O. Registration is right around the corner, after all.
This Friday, we will go through your questions and do our best to answer as many as we can.
To see all of our previous Q&A’s, check them out here.
We are back with our answers for Volume 37 of the DL Q&A Sessions. Earlier this week, we asked you to send in questions before this weekend’s MWC, and you didn’t disappoint. We received great questions about Moto’s future under Lenovo, and which OEM design department we would want to consult for.
Beyond tech, we talk basketball Finals predictions, Kanye’s latest album, and which non-tech related bet we would make if given the opportunity. As mentioned, MWC is only a couple of days away, so be on the lookout for yet another Q&A Session once we have had enough time to soak everything in from LG and Samsung over the next week.
Without further ado, let’s get to it. (more…)
