The recently announced Moto E4 Plus now has a launch date: August 3. Well, pre-orders open that day, with general availability happening around August 11. The Moto E4 Plus starts at $179.99.
To recap, the Moto E4 Plus is indeed a budget phone with its 5.5-inch HD (720p) display, 1.4GHz Snapdragon 427 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB or 32GB storage, 13MP rear camera, and fingerprint reader. It’ll work on all the major US carriers, including Verizon. It stands out, though, because it has a freakin’ massive 5000mAh battery. While I haven’t tested this phone, I’d be shocked if it didn’t last a full two days without breaking a sweat.
You’ll find the Moto E4 Plus at Verizon, Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, Fry’s, Motorola’s site, and Newegg on August 3. After that, the phone will arrive at Sprint, Ting, and other retailers on August 11. Republic Wireless gets it on August 14.
There will also be an Amazon Prime Exclusive version with ads that should be priced lower than $179.99. Once we have that price, we’ll let you know.

Why is everyone assuming this will get great battery life? It has a 28nm CPU and these low end 720p LCD’s guzzle more power than QHD AMOLED panels. There have been plenty of Chinese phones with 10000 mah batteries that had horrible battery life for all of these reasons.
Busted Note 4 and need a buffer phone, this fits the bill until the Note 8 for me!
Moto puts the best battery in their budget phones? Exactly WTF are they thinking?
That’s the whole point. Lenovo has no clue what they’re doing. Their lineup is a confusing hodgepodge of low-end handsets with great features like this one’s battery and 3.5mm jack alongside high-end phones with gimped features (Z2 Force battery).
Exactly. This is why this former Moto fan is dumping them for, most likely, the next Samsung.
The Amazon Prime Exclusive G5+ is $10 more and has better everything. Not to mention the 4gb RAM and 64gb storage version is routinely discounted to $200. The lockscreen ads arent a big deal at all since the fingerprint reader is so fast and Moto display still shows all notifications.

No NFC in Motos lower end phones is just head scratching to me.
Never used NFC ever.
