Motorola made all details, including pricing and availability, official for its Signature 27 device this week. If you haven’t been hearing the rumblings on this device, imagine Motorola gathered a team of top Android fanboys and tasked them with compiling the specs that would make the ultimate Android phone. It would probably sound like the Signature 27 and end up costing about what this phone is listed at — $1,599.
The main draw to the device is the spec sheet. For starters, it has a unique 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED Duo Tandem capable of a peak brightness of 12,000 nits. For comparison, Google says a clear daytime sky is around 8,000 nits (lol, wtf?). It’s powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset with 12GB RAM, multiple rear facing cameras with AI-powered 100x Super Zoom, 7,000mAh silicon carbon battery, and that’s literally just the start.

Motorola also highlights all of its AI (Gemini Intelligence) smarts, such as Rambler, Sign to Text (ASL), and everything else one might expect from Google’s AI. The company also includes Motorola Qira, a built-in AI system designed to, “connect and enhance experiences across supported Motorola and Lenovo devices.” Also in the software department, Motorola is promising 7 years of OS upgrades and 7 years of security updates.
The phone is missing nothing, at least from our look over of the spec sheet. It sounds like quite the beast. But of course, all of this will cost you, with the phone priced at $1,599. That’s $450 more than the Galaxy S26 Ultra, but again, the spec sheets are quite different.
Signature 27 goes up for pre-order in the US starting November 19, with general availability beginning November 26. You’ll be able to find it on Motorola’s website, Amazon, and Best Buy.
