If OnePlus‘ changelog is to be believed, the cameras found on the backside of the OnePlus 6 are about to get a whole lot better. Thanks to an OxygenOS update labeled as version 5.1.9, many camera improvements are inside the update, as well as a new Google-made feature that many may find useful.

For improvements, users can expect to see better clarity and edge detection in Portrait Mode, as well as better focus speed and focus accuracy. This is all very needed in our opinion. However, on top of just improvements, OnePlus is adding a dedicated Google Lens feature inside of its camera app, granting access to quick QR code scanning, plus an image recognition tool that can lead to more information on books, buildings around you, artwork, and more.

Here is the full list of improvements that OnePlus details.

Camera Improvements

  • Improved clarity
  • Improved dynamic range
  • Improved edge detection in Portrait Mode
  • Improved focusing speed and accuracy

For owners of OnePlus 6, expect to see this OTA hit your device soon!
