Remember the HTC First? Just four months ago, HTC and Facebook got together to launch a unique phone powered by stock Android that looked like it had a lot of promise at the time. Fast forward to today and the First has been discontinued and now Facebook Home, the First’s big selling point, is losing exclusive features as well.
Unless Google Play’s staged rollouts haven’t gotten to you, Facebook for Android received an update today that adds Home’s Cover Feed to the standard app. This allows you to turn your lockscreen into a slideshow of what your friends and family on Facebook are up to, which either sounds awesome or the worst thing in the world. Unfortunately for some, this feature is only supported on a list of devices right now:
- Galaxy S3
- Galaxy S4
- Galaxy Note 2
- HTC One
- HTC One X/+
- Nexus 4
