Google Winter Wonderlab Retail Shops Popping Up Across North America

Winter Wonderlab

Google is getting into the holiday spirit, opening popup retail shops called Winter Wonderlabs. In these shops, folks can get their hands on the latest Google products, such as Nexus 7 tablets, Chromecast dongles, and even a full lineup of Chromebook laptops. Unfortunately for those looking to try out future products, like Google Glass, you are out of luck – these aren’t the mystery barges

The shops aren’t just retail spaces though, as they feature interactive snow globes that customers can go inside and play around with fake snow. You can even have slow motion video recorded of your time inside, and it looks to be quite fun.

The shops are located in New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Sacramento, New Jersey, and Chicago. For exact locations of the shops, check here.

Are these actual stores where you can buy products, or just showrooms?

  • http://404err0r.com/ Henry Park

No love for Seattle?? WTF Google?

  • Ian

Who wants to frolic in the Google booth?

  • droidrazredge

Sacramento instead of San Francisco :( really ? What was the reasoning for that ? San Francisco has a Google HQ and also where Google I/0 is located. To top it off It’s just a short drive up from Mountain View, a lot close than it is to get to Sacramento. Now I gotta drive 2 hours instead of 45 minutes….

    Location link is broken.

    • guest

Its not broken, they are acting like a hardware company with messages like this:

      “You are using
      an outdated browser.

Please upgrade your browser or enable Google Chrome Frame”
      Yeah, try doing-no-evil to Firefox!!!

  • CensoredByU

Where’s my new 10″ nexus already?

    • teleclimber

Seriously. They wouldn’t release it after black friday if they planned to release it in 2013. So it’s very soon, or 2014 probably. And since we haven’t heard a thing lately…

      • CensoredByU

Such a 1st world issue. lol.

        • teleclimber

You’re the one who brought it up!

          • CensoredByU

            ????

  • teleclimber

“Los Angeles”..? More like, the Valley, like, yaknow?

  • NYAvsFan

Bryant Park. One subway stop from my job. Why hello Google…

  • Matt

New Jersey is not a city! And Annapolis is no where near DC!

  • LoganLopez

Going to check it out tomorrow. I live right by Annapolis so i am excited to check it out. Going to let my GF check out the N7s for a possible Christmas gift :)

  • Eric

I think they forgot Mall of America….

  • downtownjeff

    Why no Mall of America?

That’s funny, the DC store is no where close to DC……

  • Joseph Barrientos

yet none here in mountain view, close to their campus, thanks google :(

    • droidrazredge

LOLOL I said the same thing. I was like San Francisco would have been a lot better and closer option to Mountain View HQ compared to Sacramento. Sacramento is way in the north bay.

      • Elliot Kotis

maybe there is one at there headquarters?

  • jbdan

    Come to the ATL googs!

    • http://www.droid-life.com/ Tim-o-tato

      Come to Portland, Googs!

      • rthvk

To be fair, Sacramento would be doable for you.

Now I’ve just got to drive out to LA and try this out sometime!

        • http://www.droid-life.com/ Tim-o-tato

Pffft! A 11+ hour car ride is not doable for a snow globe :P

          • rthvk

            But, but, the Google gadgets!

I love how they omitted all Nexus devices except the Nexus 7. I would think most would go to see the N5, but of course you don’t have to :)

  • JBartcaps

Apparently Washington, D.C. is located in Annapolis

    • Andy

same here. Aurora must be Chicago.

I know right, I looked at it. I am like Annapolis is MD, not DC. Worth driving to it though. Will make a day trip.
