Samsung Posts Verizon Galaxy Note 2 Gallery, Home Button Branding Definitely Included

Remember when we posted pictures of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for Verizon and it had “Verizon” branded all over the home button? That wasn’t just a prototype. The actual device will have a Verizon logo on the home button, on both the white and gray versions. Not only that, but the back battery cover will have “Verizon” and “4G LTE” as well.

Now, this shouldn’t turn you away from it, as the Note 2 has been a pleasure to use over the last few days. But, I can’t help but shake my head a little. Look Verizon, we get that it’s on your network, however, we don’t need to be reminded of that every time we want to leave an app. Not only that, but I can’t imagine that home button logo placement is topping the charts for prime advertising space. Oh, we should also mention that no other carrier deemed branding the home button, necessary.

Pics below!

White model paint sales just went through the roof for the first time in 50 years.

  • On the flipside, folks still buying Samsung phones? #TeamMoto {{-_-}}

  • I notice how Verizon doesn’t feel the need to plaster itself all over the iPhone. {{-_-}}

It’s just a logo people, seriously? Get over it… -_-

I plan on going to my local graphics shop and having pages of high-quality vinyl stickers made up in black and white for the Home button to put on eBay. I’m gonna give them my Note II and have them design it perfectly. They’re a top notch company. They do all the police cars for cities around us as well as businesses.

Do people really have to waste time on such trivial things? Logos are on everything. If you have a BMW or a Mercedes do you want the logos off of that? Grow up.

  • itsacardigan

Hopefully Zagg will make something to cover it!

  • Good news is this phone is Global Ready right out of the box unlike my S3 which is still waiting for an update. Ughhh…

  • I have finally found the most innane, first-world “problem” ever to be ranted against on the interwebs:

Verizon puts its brand logo on the home button of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

Yes, I was doing research on this phone and came to not just one, but several websites where people are literally losing their minds over the fact that a company is putting its logo on an item that said company is selling.

I just want to shake someone right now. THESE are the things we are choosing to expend time and energy complaining about???

For all those complaining about the VZW logo on the home button, here’s some hope. Remember these? http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/samsung/galaxy-s3/galaxy-s3-screen-protector-glas-premium-tempered-glass-series.html Kellen did a review on these awhile back for the S3. Now this company makes screen protectors for the Note2, hopefully they will make a tempered glass protect like they did for the S3. Which included a little home button tab. That little tab will cover up the ugly VZW logo home button.

  • I’m going to have a fort knox-like case on this bad boy anyway.. ill never see that button

  • This is exactly why I don’t like Verizon. Their brand is everywhere on their phones. I am afraid they would next start branding their customers.

  • yarrellray

I can’t help but laugh at Verizon and it’s need to be so different from other carriers it’s such a crime. Verizon sucks monkey balls plain and simple piss on Verizon.

  • Dave Sloboda

Wow. They really need to fire whoever was in charge of placing the Verizon branding on that home button.

I mean, I get it being there, but it’s size and placement are atrocious! I think if it was either smaller and centered or just the “check”/”V” mark (without the “Verizon” name), then it might have looked a lot better. (Just not better than it would have looked without the logo/name on there at all.)

  • coreyk31

I could care less. I just preordered mine and can’t wait.

  • Species0113

I like the Vz logo. It matches the one on my shirt pocket and Pay stub. It also reminds me of the 23% discount they give me on my bill every month. Best carrier there is . Period. You’ll still buy it cause of that. Now stop whining and go buy it so my stocks go up.

    • DroidXFanatic

No thanks, will be buying it on a different carrier when my contract is up in 2 months. 2GB of data for 30 bucks is a rip off. F*ck Verizon!

      • Species0113

Apparently you haven’t seen the Verizon commercial with all the pretty coverage graphs. Lol. You get what you pay for. Good luck.

  • eilegz

horrible, it seems for verizon that the gs3 and note 2 needs to be uglier and they wanted to contribute for it….

Very bad decisions and stupid choices, US carriers in general are so retarded they want to exceed in crapping its customes.

  • I just want to know the date it will be availible on Verizon I can put a sticker over vzw lol

  • bleeew

In the future the camera will take pictures with the VZW logo watermarked in.

  • Richard

Easy Solution. If you dont like the logos. Just wait a few weeks until the back cover starts selling on Ebay. Buy one from sprint or whichever other company that doesnt use logos and put it on the Verizon phone.. That easy. Back covers usually go for $10-$15 bucks

  • ram1981

I just want to know the date it will be availible on Verizon I can put a sticker over vzw lol

  • Tim Buchanan

Serious question: Why does Verizon do this? I’m curious what the business model is behind this type of hyper-branding. Anyone know?

  • Bionic

You guys go apeshit over the stupidest things. Of course the Verizon logo is gonna be on it somewhere.

  • Looks like I’m going to be investing in a different back and home button….. Thanks VZW. First for dragging out the release, and second for crapping all over my next phone. It is a good thing for VZW that I would rather pound my genitals flat with a wooden mallet than go over to AT&T…

  • MatthewSimmons

Verizon just likes to remind you that they have you by the balls. I’m still debating on picking up a GN2. I wonder how hard it will be to get that branding off of the home key.

  • Chico Gordo

I wonder if you’ll be able to buy a blank replacement button and just pop that on??

  • Justin Swanson

Just in case you forget who your cell provider is…
