Samsung Posts Verizon Galaxy Note 2 Gallery, Home Button Branding Definitely Included

Remember when we posted pictures of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for Verizon and it had “Verizon” branded all over the home button? That wasn’t just a prototype. The actual device will have a Verizon logo on the home button, on both the white and gray versions. Not only that, but the back battery cover will have “Verizon” and “4G LTE” as well.

Now, this shouldn’t turn you away from it, as the Note 2 has been a pleasure to use over the last few days. But, I can’t help but shake my head a little. Look Verizon, we get that it’s on your network, however, we don’t need to be reminded of that every time we want to leave an app. Not only that, but I can’t imagine that home button logo placement is topping the charts for prime advertising space. Oh, we should also mention that no other carrier deemed branding the home button, necessary.

Pics below!

White model paint sales just went through the roof for the first time in 50 years.

Cheers Jay!

  • On the flipside, folks still buying Samsung phones? #TeamMoto {{-_-}}

  • I notice how Verizon doesn’t feel the need to plaster itself all over the iPhone. {{-_-}}

  • Peter Blanco

It’s just a logo people, seriously? Get over it… -_-

I plan on going to my local graphics shop and having pages of high-quality vinyl stickers made up in black and white for the Home button to put on eBay. I’m gonna give them my Note II and have them design it perfectly. They’re a top notch company. They do all the police cars for cities around us as well as businesses.

  • Judy

Do people really have to waste time on such trivial things? Logos are on everything. If you have a BMW or a Mercedes do you want the logos off of that? Grow up.

  • itsacardigan

Hopefully Zagg will make something to cover it!

  • Good news is this phone is Global Ready right out of the box unlike my S3 which is still waiting for an update. Ughhh…

  • I have finally found the most innane, first-world “problem” ever to be ranted against on the interwebs:

Verizon puts its brand logo on the home button of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

Yes, I was doing research on this phone and came to not just one, but several websites where people are literally losing their minds over the fact that a company is putting its logo on an item that said company is selling.

I just want to shake someone right now. THESE are the things we are choosing to expend time and energy complaining about???

  • evltwn

For all those complaining about the VZW logo on the home button, here’s some hope. Remember these? http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/samsung/galaxy-s3/galaxy-s3-screen-protector-glas-premium-tempered-glass-series.html Kellen did a review on these awhile back for the S3. Now this company makes screen protectors for the Note2, hopefully they will make a tempered glass protect like they did for the S3. Which included a little home button tab. That little tab will cover up the ugly VZW logo home button.

  • I’m going to have a fort knox-like case on this bad boy anyway.. ill never see that button

  • This is exactly why I don’t like Verizon. Their brand is everywhere on their phones. I am afraid they would next start branding their customers.

  • yarrellray

I can’t help but laugh at Verizon and it’s need to be so different from other carriers it’s such a crime. Verizon sucks monkey balls plain and simple piss on Verizon.

  • Dave Sloboda

Wow. They really need to fire whoever was in charge of placing the Verizon branding on that home button.

I mean, I get it being there, but it’s size and placement are atrocious! I think if it was either smaller and centered or just the “check”/”V” mark (without the “Verizon” name), then it might have looked a lot better. (Just not better than it would have looked without the logo/name on there at all.)

  • coreyk31

I could care less. I just preordered mine and can’t wait.

  • Species0113

I like the Vz logo. It matches the one on my shirt pocket and Pay stub. It also reminds me of the 23% discount they give me on my bill every month. Best carrier there is . Period. You’ll still buy it cause of that. Now stop whining and go buy it so my stocks go up.

    • DroidXFanatic

No thanks, will be buying it on a different carrier when my contract is up in 2 months. 2GB of data for 30 bucks is a rip off. F*ck Verizon!

      • Species0113

Apparently you haven’t seen the Verizon commercial with all the pretty coverage graphs. Lol. You get what you pay for. Good luck.

  • eilegz

horrible, it seems for verizon that the gs3 and note 2 needs to be uglier and they wanted to contribute for it….

Very bad decisions and stupid choices, US carriers in general are so retarded they want to exceed in crapping its customes.

  • I just want to know the date it will be availible on Verizon I can put a sticker over vzw lol

  • bleeew

In the future the camera will take pictures with the VZW logo watermarked in.

  • Richard

Easy Solution. If you dont like the logos. Just wait a few weeks until the back cover starts selling on Ebay. Buy one from sprint or whichever other company that doesnt use logos and put it on the Verizon phone.. That easy. Back covers usually go for $10-$15 bucks

  • ram1981

I just want to know the date it will be availible on Verizon I can put a sticker over vzw lol

  • Tim Buchanan

Serious question: Why does Verizon do this? I’m curious what the business model is behind this type of hyper-branding. Anyone know?

  • Bionic

You guys go apeshit over the stupidest things. Of course the Verizon logo is gonna be on it somewhere.

  • Looks like I’m going to be investing in a different back and home button….. Thanks VZW. First for dragging out the release, and second for crapping all over my next phone. It is a good thing for VZW that I would rather pound my genitals flat with a wooden mallet than go over to AT&T…

  • MatthewSimmons

Verizon just likes to remind you that they have you by the balls. I’m still debating on picking up a GN2. I wonder how hard it will be to get that branding off of the home key.

  • Chico Gordo

I wonder if you’ll be able to buy a blank replacement button and just pop that on??

  • Justin Swanson

Just in case you forget who your cell provider is…

  • jerrymcafee

My 2 1/2 year old Droid X has Verizon logos on front and back and it never bugged me. So why is it that THIS time it does? I guess it’s cause no other carrier is as insecure as Verizon is. Go figger!

  • Here’s hoping you can just take a penny and rub it off like you can logos on some other phones.

  • nightscout13

This is an outrage! Everyone, grab your pitchforks and torches!

  • Dennis Cowsky

As my dumb blond sister said, “Just white it out”.

  • Nazzi_Muhammad

Verizon wiped their ass-crack on another phone.

  • teejaycard

they’re just happy ( and trying to make up for the fact ) that they’re getting it this time around ha.

  • chris125

Well they did it because you can buy a replacement back and remove the verizon from that but you can’t replace the home button

    • Tim242

I can have mine replaced in my Sprint store : ). Yes, I’m a Verizon customer that works for Sprint.

      • TylerChappell

I wonder how much of an inconvenience that will be…

        • Tim242

None at all for me. Our store is a full service store. The techs can do that in 2 minutes.

          • TylerChappell

            Well that IS rather convenient.

          • Tim242

I just need Verizon to release their version. We had to do planogram (display) tonight. We spent over an hour playing with the Notes. My work productivity will go down, but me being on it so much will help me sell more : )

          • TylerChappell

Yay, nothing I love more than a salesman that is actually informed. ;] I practically have to put all of the Verizon employees through training every time I walk into a damn store.

  • Just called verizon in york PA. preorders start tomorrow morning device arrives in 1 week!

  • I want one! – Verizon logo or not…

  • takeitez

what a bunch of crying assclowns. rapist and muderers gotta have 4g too just dont buy it cocksuckers hold the rape

  • billy routh

You guys cry and complain more than a women on the rag.

  • Jock

If you buy the international version from Amazon, can you use it for any carrier? I’m not waiting for my 2 year contract and I don’t want all that on mine.

    • No, it will only work on GSM carriers. Sprint and Verizon are completely out. Also, the international version will lack LTE.

  • chris125

Branding or not it’s still an awesome phone

  • nick

    No price or release date?

  • Trevor

That is some ugly bad-word-for-poop Verizon. Uncool and tres douche-like.

  • k1ng617

Quite honestly that just stopped me from buying it. Thanks for F’n it up Verizon! T-Mobile?

    • Tim242

If a small logo stopped you from buying it, you didn’t want it.

      • k1ng617

It’s called having the freedom to speak with my wallet a choice every consumer should have.

        • Tim242

You can buy, or not buy whatever you want. But, your reasoning is still subject to judgement. The logo may be annoying, but it doesn’t change the function of the phone. There are ways of dealing with logos…you can’t make the screen of another phone bigger or add a wacom digitizer.

  • I wonder if I can buy a special developer version off-contract with a picture of a penis on the home button instead?

    • Trevor

Rather have a penis than the VZW logo. At least you could tell people it was just a rocket ship.

  • onthecouchagain

    Oh gawd. Gross.

  • Disqui

Lol the logo doesn’t even have a lot of room to breathe on that button.

  • What color are you guys thinking of? I heard some bad things about the grey like dust shows up on it or something

  • phil

did you read the whole article??? towards the end it mentions, “at the point of sale, all Verizon Note 2’s will have the words “Verizon iz the best” written accross the screen in black sharpie by a store associate.” cocky assholes.

  • Jackson

Anyone know where to find how to stream the live event?

  • Thomas Van Dan Elzen

I have patiently waited for this since I got my rotten Thunderbolt almost two years ago and all you guys can say is that you don’t like the logo? Must be a great phone if that is its only fault.

  • Dlongb13

Yes! Another plastic phone for $650!!!

  • I’m With Verizon but I hate that they did that to the home button!

  • Creed74

This is so minuscule yet pathetic that I can’t but comparing it to a guy walking down the street with his jeans fly open and no one bothering to say anything. Too small to be offensive yet to anyone that notices it, a wry chuckle has to be surpressed.

      VOTE this comment UPWARDS!

    • four_zero40

      That’s for the Galaxy S3

    • Futbolrunner

That $5 fix off the S3 should work!

  • CharlesJorgenson

hey, its no big deal, get a little bit of vinyl sticker that is the same color as the phone, stick it on the button, BOOM no branding. problem solved

    • trixnkix637

shouldn’t be necessary though, Would you buy a car if on every panel and window it was branded by the manufacturer? Could you picture looking in your rearview & seeing Honda in the corner of the mirror?

      • CharlesJorgenson

i agree it shouldn’t be necessary, but here we are. so might as well deal with it and fix it

  • Gary

It doesn’t look as bad as I feared — on the grey version it blends in to some extent. Probably will be switched to be a Big Red swoosh for maximum annoyance value before they go on sale. Still will be a minus for me when considering this.

  • hgomes30

    That’s disgusting!

  • cantwaitforthenote2

i just left a Verizon store to inquire if they had any dates regarding pre-order or release and the gentleman said it was a LG Note 2 and it was a AT&T exclusive.Well needless to say i laffed and told him it was a Sumsung and it was to be released on all major carriers including the company he work for i told him that T-mobile was selling there version today and he should call them if he did not believe me. Verizon should keep its employee’s in the loop a little better than that. HOLY COW lol…

    • fanboy1974

A lot of people are not phone geeks like us. I’ve learned never to ask a Verizon rep anything phone related before it’s release date. You know more than these people before phones get released.

    • note_lover

  • Boooooo!!!!

  • NorCalGuy

If it had on screen buttons you wouldn’t have to worry about it…

  • Bromance Over

    Really looks like dogshi+.

  • And that, in a nutshell, is why I left Verizon..

  • CRH45

DNW. Good thing i got 2 gnex’s because from the looks of it i’ll be using them for along time.

  • bJA

This just in: All future Verizon phones to be shaped like the Verizon logo.

  • SomeDooD123

This is BS. Ugly as fack

  • Doan

Phone off; looking at front of device: Verizon logo right in your face
Flip the phone over: Verizon logo right in your face
Looking at front of phone; turn it on: Animated Verizon logo right in your face
Lock screen: Verizon logo right in your face
Swipe down notification menu: Verizon logo right in your face

    Did I miss anything?

  • fauxshizzl

I suppose a bigger screen means more room for bloatware as well then?

  • DonDemon

Someone with decal experience should start working on a cover for that ugly thing.
I wouldn’t mind if it was off to the side like on my Bionic. But right there on the home key?

  • fixxmyhead

its there so u verizon customers know ur owned
now shut up and bend over

  • Lol that button branding looks so out of place…

  • rumthin

    That looks atrocious!

  • sBj

I went into VZW yesterday to ask about this phone, but they said I’d have to have a logo seared into the forehead of my first born to even have a look…needless to say, my wife isn’t happy with me at the moment.

    • KT

  • fanboy1974

I must be the only one that cares less about the branding. Let’s face it people. The only way to get no branding or unlocked bootloaders is to jump ship. Even my Verizon Nexus was not really a Nexus; I had to upgrade it myself.
Verizon’s cellular service is the best but when it comes to the phones there’s always some issues. The worst issue I can remember was when Verizon decided to strip wifi from the VX6900. Or we got some crappy processor compared to the Sprint version back in the windows mobile days. So guys; a Verizon logo is the least of my worries.

  • og

So I assume by the date on the screen it’ out ll come November 15th

  • Trueblue711

…seriously? Could you imagine being the person at Verizon having to demand Samsung do this?

Is there any evidence that branding on the phone actually draws customers? Or is it supposed to be a psychological thing that becomes ingrained in our brains subconsciously?

  • They do this and plus, they’ll lock the bootloader and not participate in the Dropbox 50gb promo. I only stick with VZW for their unlimited, unthrottled data. I almost want them to take it away so I can leave them forever!

  • og

So I assume by the date on the screen it’ll come out November 15th.

  • Brittany n

i hope its a sticker or it can be scratched off or something that is just ugly

  • CaptainHowdy13

A new accessory market has been born: Home button protective covers. Try all new bedazzled home button cover and many more!

  • C-Law

I just noticed normally you can’t see the back and menu buttons unless they are lit up but you can see them in the above shots and they are the same color as the Verizon logo. Does this mean the Verizon logo lights up! Nooo! God I hope not! Oh and it looks like it comes out November 15 behind every other carrier. What a surprise

  • Batman

Just so unnecessary. I have been a Big Red customer for years. Once it becomes feasible for me to switch to unlocked phones, I’m going to do so.

  • Really Verizon? You have the whole back of the phone to mess around with (which you already did immensely) and decide to put your logo… on the HOME BUTTON?! and its the ugliest logo placement too. You pretty much ruined this phone.

  • BAX

iFixit, please post a guide how to REPLACE THE HOME BUTTON!

  • Who the crap crap is Verizon even advertising to when practically everyone in the country has wireless Service?

Here’s a little trick I used back in the days of of OG Droid: go to your local beauty supply store and buy a 4-way mini nail file to gently sand and polish this classless blemish away.

  • paul_cus

Oh, how I hate carrier branding on phones. Especially the front. Only the OEM should be able to do that.

  • C-Law

I’m sure Verizon already realized people would want to rub this logo off immediately and had it permanently installed underneath the top coating. God how I wish a nice company that cared about its customers opinions and quick updates would take over this evil one

  • I’m leaving Verizon for a multitude of reasons when my contract is up in a couple months, but this makes me even happier that I am doing so.

  • i think what makes it worse is the button looks kinda ugly itself. at least for me.

  • Guest

    i think what makes i

  • Joshua

    VZW sucks — glad I’m with AT&T

  • possomcrast

I wonder how hard that will be to scratch off…

  • Nicholassss

Why is that real. First person to tell me how to get it of wins a prize.

    • La2da

Use a sugar cube or nail polish. If they were so low as to actually put it under glass, there’s a link above for replacement home buttons.

  • StoneColdCarl

    No. No. NO.

  • gadgetryan

Glad im pre ordering the ATT version. Thanks Work!! haha

  • Adam Cox

so is that the home button or the magic verizon button?

  • C-Law

I might feel embarrassed now to show this to my friends. I wonder if I could just take a small dremel buffing wheel to it? It’d probably ruin the buttofinish n in the process. Lol.. so how hard is it to replace this button?

As if holding this thing to your ear wouldn’t be embarrassing enough?

  • DanWazz

Gives you a reason to use that home button: use it enough and eventually that logo will wear off.

  • Butters619

Verizon is the bully of networks. They got too big and now they just push everybody around, manufacturers and consumers alike.

  • Besides how tacky it looks, this is a legitimate user experience issue. Not to mention having physical buttons at all – UGH.

  • that’s disgusting.

  • If they’re that conceited why didn’t they just move the Samsung logo to the back and put theirs up top? It would of looked a million times better!

  • Zach Armstrong

Verizon always puts their logos in really stupid places but this was the dumbest of them all.

  • NexusMan

Friggin Verizon…..How could a company succeed so well at annoying me and pushing me away when just a year ago I did nothing but sing their praises for like the ten years prior.

    • JoshGroff

    • La2da

Greed from the smartphone gold rush.

  • mustbepbs

    What. The. ****.

Do they have the death penalty in NJ?

  • TheWenger

    That is hideous.

  • NyReynolds

One day their name will be watermarked on the screen.

    • Jared Fulgham

Pre-burned into the LCD, like it’s supposed to be, right?

      • NyReynolds

        Absolutely lol.

  • geedee82

Someone at Verizon deserves the death penalty.

  • Does anyone know if this will be a VZW Global Phone like the VZW version of the Galaxy S3? Yes I know the update to make it a Global phone isn’t out yet for the GS3 but I thought I would ask.

  • benjamin forehand

I bet someone will make a little sticker that comes with a case or something

  • jldleo

The only way I’m NOT getting this phone is if Verizon engraves the Logo on the screen.

    • Tim242

  • Seriously, is anybody going to get this, I have a GS3 and a Nexus.. give up my GS3???? I’m not sure I want to hold that to my ear.. like ever!

    • Tim242

Yes, many will get this. If you don’t want to hold it to your ear, use headphones. I rarely talk on the phone anymore. I’d rather have a device that fits many other uses.

  • Ohiwastedmylife

Okay now I want the DNA, are they serious with that 2 inch Verizon & 4G logo? I do not see how the front logo is compatible with any of their logo guidelines. Normally major corporations have logo guidelines that must be used with at least 1 inch of white space and other specifics, what are they thinking.

  • Spoken Word™

Well, looks like my Galaxy Nexus will live on as my daily driver unless I can find instructions for removing that f’d up Verizon graffiti.

    • Love it …..

    • On the Bionic you could easily remove the branding with a quarter and a bit of pressure.

  • Tim242

One of the techs at my Sprint store will replace that branded button for a plain Sprint button : )

  • schoat333

Why do they let apple get away with zero branding? Time for manufactures to make a stand against VZW.

    • Apple has the clout and financial security to put their foot down. They can pull iPhone from Verizon and not be bothered, as there is still AT&T, Sprint, and other carriers.

      • schoat333

Samsung, HTC, Motorola… they could all do the exact same thing. Imagine if they did it together, and VZW got no new phones. That would be a nice power swing.

  • I HATE VERIZON…..But it’s getting harder everytime I experience these insane data speeds….DAMN YOU VERIZON!!!

  • Robandrhee

Look at the date on the phone nov.15

  • Zachary F

The only carrier with a logo on the front for the Note 2? sigh can’t believe Samsung allowed it.

  • PrestonInc

The back cover, whatever some of us have cases some of us will replace with a metal back. But that front button is hideous. Its not like they have a decent looking logo either, its off-centered and just ugly. SMH verizon

  • Hey at least they are the best carrier and many people know that verizon is expensive so at least your rocking a expensive brand not some cheap Metro pcs brand lol

    • iamjackspost

Honestly, who other than the person using the phone will notice it?

  • hfoster52

Hopefully someone will figure out how to remove that off the home key without scratching it…. 🙂

  • Boston

I need to start a new company that sells stock face plates, back plates and now buttons to cell phone consumers.

  • Verizon Galaxy Note 2. The only variant of the Note 2 to include front branding and a locked bootloader.

    • Nick Floria

was it confirmed that the bottloader is locked?

      • sBj

        Yeah, unfortunately.

      • Jason

        I would count on it.

      • ERIC REED

Yep…as soon as that Verizon logo was slapped on it!!

    • KleenDroid

I am hoping Samsung “leaks” an un-encrypted bootloader like they did for the S3.

    • That lasted a long time on the S3… Like a month… Suspect it’ll be the same or faster on the Note 2

  • Ron_Swanson

    I’m putting an AT&T sticker over it….

    • Diablo81588

    • FortitudineVincimus

a well placed and cut and colored matched vinyl sticker can hide that beotch easy

  • Buckoman

See, this is great for consumers like me who never want to forget which carrier they’re bending over for.

  • Velmeran

How long until replacement, non-branded buttons pop up online for sale?

  • K L

If Samsuck didn’t put a physical button on there in the first place than V
erizon wouldn’t have a place to brand it. Duh.

  • Thomas

Did they put their logo on the S Pen as well ? I mean why not at this point.

    • KleenDroid

Probably on the pen and the little tip that is showing while in the phone.

    • FAL_Fan

Dude be quiet! Dang it, they heard you! Now the release date has been pushed back until they can engineer it onto there! Thanks a lot!

      • thoseguysarefags

        *4g update… stupid disqus

Atrocious. Not that I was gonna buy one anyway…. Not that I’m gonna stay with Verizon for longer than I have to…

  • wolfgang71

My daughter’s nail polish will come in handy the second I get this!

    • sBj

I was just wondering the same thing about getting some acrylic model paint and some clear coat for the white model.

  • dbrownjr1989

surprised they didnt put the logo on the S pen while they were at it

    • yunclehead

Shhh! Don’t give them any more bright ideas!

  • Jarrett Guma

I wonder how long until they start engraving it in the center of the display

  • Hollister

A girl at ATT told me shes waiting for the Galaxy S4 lol. She started listing off specs like she knew what she was talking about.

Thank goodness I can pick up an unbranded back cover. WOW…thank 4G is HUGE !!!!

  • Jnmigr

Now we need price and date.

  • James_C_L

That’s gotta be the stupidest thing I have ever seen in my life lol. enough not to get it even.

  • ManiDePRico

What makes this different from any other Verizon branded device? Aren’t there logos on the front and back of most Verizon phones? (I say most because my GNex doesn’t have one.)

    • Trey Mitchell

I don’t think the S3 has one either
I remember when they announced this phone someone in a comment here congratulated Samsung on designing a phone Verizon couldn’t fit their logo on the front of.
I remember thinking: Well, there’s one place they could but they wouldn’t…….
      Sadly I was mistaken.

      • will bartlett

the s3 does not have front branding, just checked mine lol

  • calvin35

Disgusting!! Verizon may have the best network, but everything else about them sucks and their network isn’t that much better!!! Just terrible!!!

  • eddie

    Sand it off!

  • First world problems. Stop complaining Verizon is the best company out there and you all know it

    • Captain_Doug

They provide the best coverage…. that’s it. There’s a lot more to it than that.

    • Big_EZ

Best coverage is a far cry from best company. They have horrible customer service.

    • AranelAlasse

Yeah, definitely a first-world problem. And I almost never notice the verizon logos on my Droid 4. so I probably don’t care if there’s a logo on the button. (assuming I get one… which I’m pretty tempted…)

  • Hollister

That looks really stupid. Makes me want to wait and see what else is on the way.

  • atari37

Sorry guys but that’s funny. I can’t believe they had the nerves to do that. WOW!!!
Verizon logo on the back and front…Kinda to remind you that they are BOSS.

I wouldn’t pay $300 for a phone that’s also a billboard sign. I can only imagine all the crapware they put on this phone.

    • note_lover

LOL, I agree, it is kind of funny and that’s exactly what I thought, Verizon wants you to know that they are BOSS! They’re proud that they got the Note 2 and want everyone to know it!

  • ThatsHowISeeIt

I really hope someone figures out an elegant solution to fix Verizon vandalizing their customer’s phones.Would a sticker work? That home button is just hideous.

  • Jroc869, Cool story bro

    To damn far

Common Big Red that’s overdoing it a bit

  • MikeCiggy

That’s insane… Can’t help but shake my head and laugh. I want this phone bad, but not sure I want to spend the money when my Gnex is doing just fine.

I’d probably cover the home button with some vinyl sticker. Just when we thought Samsung was taking charge over the carriers.

  • Lazaro331

Who ever thought it was a great idea to place the branding on the home button should be fired and raped.

    • pestosauce

      Well that escalated quickly

    • ElRey

not sure about the rape part… fired and maybe a couple of low punches yes

    • The best comment by far …. Lol’ed super hard …

    • Devin

does it have to be in that order

      • fixxmyhead

yes and raped hard and forcefully

    • They should be fired………….

      from a cannon…………….

      into the sun.

  • Lol, hopefully its scratch-off-able

  • “what does this Verizon button do?”
    “that’s the home button.”
“it’ll take me to Verizon homepage? ”

    • lol I can see that happening.

    • michael arazan

They should do it to the iphone’s too if they are going to do it to samsung phones.

  • trumpet444

Where’s the carrier/network branding on the iPhone? Nowhere – because its tacky and unnecessary.

I think we all know that Apple wears the pants in their relationships!!

      • note_lover

    • Dave

Agree with you on the lack of branding on the device itself, however, all the iphones have the carrier’s name “in the top left corner of the status bar.”

      • Dave

        Ignore the quotes

      • That’s not branding. That’s a feature.
I like to know what network I’m on by just looking. You might ask, why would someone need to constantly know what network they’re on? How about travelers?

  • Trey Mitchell

FFS vzw I wanted this phone but now I’m less sure maybe i will pick up one of those preowned galaxy nexuses(nexi?) instead.

  • Go prepaid

  • xzombiex66

that looks disgusting…it really kind of ruins the look of the front of this phone.

  • JSIN

im about fed up with VZW 8 more months on this contract and im out

  • wth vzw. facepalm.

  • daryle barden jr

That is THE ugliest branding i’ve ever seen!

  • joejoe5709

On a bezel that small, where else were they going to put it? And of course they can’t resist putting it on the back. Hell even my Nexus has Verizon 4GLTE on the back. Anyhoo, it just makes me love the Nexus line even more.

    • will bartlett

the s3 doesnt have it on the home button…

    • iamjackspost

The S3 doesn’t have verizon branding on the front anywhere, which makes me love it all the more

  • Really, Big Red? As if the large Verizon and 4G LTE logo on the back weren’t enough, you had to shoehorn this clutterbomb on the front? I extend a middle finger in your general direction.

    • Trey Mitchell

Why bother being subtle I’m pointing it right at them!

    • Diablo81588

In all fairness, the back logos are usually covered up by cases.

      • C-Law

I thought the same but just realized I never use a case. I don’t care about the back Verizon logo but that 4g logo is just plain massive!

      • MKader17

Does it really matter though. I don’t look at stranger’s phone to see the type of service they have. I judge good service based on my friends around me and it doesn’t matter what phone they have because I know what service they have. If I don’t I ask them, not gawk at their phone.

    • userjoe9066

Or you could, you know, take your business elsewhere.

  • Jackson

    Bastards lol

  • Verizon just keeps getting worse and worse besides there coverage. If the Nexus 4 isn’t on Verizon (which it probably won’t be) I will be switching to T-mobile.

  • MrBlonde04

Well time to take out the handy dandy razr blade

  • I don’t mind it on the back, but that looks pretty horrible smushed into the button.

I still want it though 😉

  • Those Bastards have no soul

  • FML I have Verizon. Atleast the titanium gray isnt as noticeable, thats the one I am getting anyways. Good job Verizon.

    • Lazaro331

Titanium grey version might have the branding in white! smh… dude there is no escape from it.

  • KT

On the home button? SMH. I’m still getting it though.

  • Maybe the S pen will have an eraser to remove unwanted scribbles…

    • Sven Enterlein

I think you can buy an upgraded version of the S pen with eraser (at least I saw that on the official website). But I’m sure it’s not compatible with VZW models 😀

  • Guest

    Called it.

  • Rob

    Tacky as heck.

  • Ken Bosse

I threw up a little bit in my mouth.

    • Don’t worry Ken, just a get a sugar cube and rub that bad boy off.

      • ERIC REED

        “rub that bad boy off”…lol

    • SHIELD YOUR EYES!! That’s freakin’ atrocious.

    • Hollister

I hope theres a way to buy one without the logo from Samsung or something. I went to ATT store to see one and it looked alot nicer without the logo. If anyone know post a reply.

      • greg vee

It is what you think ot is, ,, not bold writing but it is full on logo right on the button

  • Wow that really bites.

  • sc0rch3d

it’s verizon that’s doing the button pushing (on the customers)

    • fartbubbler

I see what you did there.

  • Mustang5Oh

OMG, when I thought VzW couldn’t sink any lower. SMH

    • It’s Verizon Loud and Clear and engraved … LMAO …

      • Mustang5Oh

Yeah so tacky on their part.

    • Mack

Out of curiosity, I wonder how hard it would be to replace that home button with a plain one.

      • 4n1m4L

unless they put it under the plastic it would probably rub off. or come off with a little acetone.
