Skype For Android Updated – Brings Updated Calling Interface and Other Improvements

Users of Skype can head on in to the Android Market and pick up the newest version of the application. You will notice a newer calling interface, better performance throughout the app and other minor bug fixes. Anyone still rocking Skype on their device?

Do any video chat options work Thunderbolt to Thunderbolt yet without that goddamn screeching feedback that I get when trying to vchat with my wife? I bought two of these damn phones just to video chat, and the audio feedback is so horrible i just gave up.

Is that the same thing as Google Voice? I don’t see Google Talk or Gchat on the Market.

All Android phones should have it pre-installed. It’ll be in your app drawer called, “Talk” with a cartoon bubble as the icon. Not sure if the RAZR supports video chat or not.

Sometimes, it goes under the name Vtok? Might want to check for that. But it usually comes pre-loaded on phones. It’s the app that looks like a white chat bubble with “talk” inside it. And the Razr does support it.

Extra options, prevents Skype from starting on boot, compatibility with more devices. It can be found here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1148708. The dev who did the mod is aware of the update and is probably going to update it at some point to the newer version. I’m actually curious of the difference between the modded version and this new official update.
