A new deal has been made between YouTube and NBCUniversal, one that will bring free, ad-supported Peacock to YouTube Premium subscribers.
The announcements says that this access will be made available soon to eligible customers. Also part of the agreement, a selection of live sporting events from NBCUniversal will stream on NBC Sports’ YouTube channel.
Directly from the announcement:
In addition to existing YouTube Premium features including ad-free viewing on YouTube, background play, downloads and YouTube Music, subscribers will gain access to ad-supported Peacock Premium.
For YouTube Premium subscribers, this is obviously awesome news. It’s free access to plenty of great content, as Peacock is home to shows like The Office and Parks and Recreation, as well as lots of good movies.
Once rolling out, we will update you.
Update: We have a very different definition of “soon” than YouTube does. YouTube’s CEO says that YouTube Premium subscribers will get access to Peacock starting in early 2027. Woof.
