Google Play Movies Gets a Fresh New Look…on Roku

Google Play Movies & TV is getting a brand new UI that is (for now) only coming to Roku devices. We aren’t sure why the limit to Roku, but that’s what we’re working with.

In this new UI, Google is deploying a “simpler” navigation with a nav bar on the left side to help you jump between the various pages of Play Movies, including your favorites. There is now a dedicated TV page for the TV obsessed homies, a better browsing by genre, and an overall modern coat of paint. You can see what it looks like above.

Google says to expect it on all Roku devices over the next “few” days.
