The original Google Pixel and Pixel XL, following a $100 price reduction with the introduction of the Pixel 2 last year, have been pulled from the Google Store and are no longer available for sale. RIP, friends.
If you need one, you can still buy one from Verizon, plus they are likely to pop up here and there at daily sale sites, on eBay, or even on Amazon. The Google Store does still have some Pixel and XL accessories.
It was a good run, original Pixel, but it’s probably time to go, especially if a new mid-range Pixel is one the way.
Also, you still have software support for some time, Pixel owners.

Although I understand the economics of ending production of the original Pixel devices. I believe Google is doing themselves a disservice by removing it from its own web store. If people don’t see it listed on Google’s own site, then most will assume it is dead and won’t have confidence in buying it from 3rd parties.
I’ll keep my OG Pixel till they pry it from my cold dead hands… Or until the 3 comes out.
Well there goes my hopes of Google keeping it in the store for another year (till the pixel 4) like Apple and updating it for 5 years like Apple.
and thus ends the headphone jacks in phones that are at all relevant. shame on all parties involved.
I agree that it is shameful, but are you saying that Samsung’s phones aren’t relevant?
Get the Pixel Buds and be done with it. I would rather not be tethered to my smartphone
Making way for the three!
Now can we just get Google to reverse course on the dumpster fire new feed? Woke up again today to a Google app update I had to uninstall on my P2XL as it brought back that POS.
Had to end some time…

Beat me to it…
Just got a OG Pixel for my daughter. Couldn’t pass it up. $50 for a used refurb, not locked to VZW in pristine condition.
I flashed stock 8.0, let it go through it’s updates and used it for a week before handing it over – everything seems to work fine. Every once in a while, apparently, I do get some decent luck. 🙂
Where did u Get a pixel for $50?! Non xl?
Not the XL. A place I do business with orders devices for their mobile users and they get turned in when the user leaves the company. This one sat in a cabinet for 6 months after the user left before I offered them $50 for it as they were clearing it out. They were just going to toss it.
