An update is headed to the G Flex from LG on Sprint’s network, bringing a big feature for non-fans of wireless plans with minutes. G Flex owners will be able to place Voice over WiFi (VoWiFi) calls, which is essentially just VoIP, but with a WiFi connection and not wireless data.
In addition, the update includes a new HD Voice icon, a Google SMS and Security patch, plus an “Update email Signature” feature. No exact clue to what that means, but it’s probably for the pre-installed email client.
Take a peek at the changelog from Sprint below.
Changelog
- Voice over Wi-Fi
- HD Voice Icon
- Google Patch: SMS and Security
- Update email Signature
G Flex owners, go get it!
