Play Games Beta on PC Gets Controller Support, 4K Resolution Support

Google Play Games Beta on PC is getting new features this week, including support for 4K resolution. Legit.

In a blog post that details all of the upgrades, Google announced that there is a new search feature at the top of the All Games section that will let users find exactly what they’re looking for. In addition, game controller support is being added for supported titles. If you own a Xbox S|X, Xbox One, PS5 DualSense, or PS4 DualShock console controller you can now use it.

What’s New in the Beta

  • New search feature: One of our newest features is a search bar at the top of the “All Games” section to help players easily find the titles they’re looking for.
  • Clash Royale and Clash of Clans on PC for the first time: Starting today, there are more than 3,000 games on Google Play Games on PC including Clash of Clans and Clash Royale, offering players the Supercell titles on a PC for the first time.
  • New 4k screen resolution support: To up level gameplay, we’re introducing higher-quality graphics with 4K screen resolution on supported monitors.
  • Game controller support: Gamers can now use Xbox S|X, Xbox One, PS5 DualSense or PS4 DualShock console controllers with compatible games for more comfortable and controlled gameplay.
