LG’s Home Entertainment Boss Now in Charge of Mobile Division

LG announced a shuffling of upper level positions this week, noting that the company wants to, “Enhance strengths and opportunities.”

Most importantly to us, LG’s mobile division has a new boss, Brian Kwon. It’s possible you’ve heard this name before. LG lists him as one of the key people to play a critical role in transforming LG’s TV, audio, and PC business into category leaders. They further note, “[his] experience in the global marketplace will be instrumental in continuing LG’s mobile operations turnaround.”

Mobile’s current head, Hwang Jeong-hwan, will focus on his other role as head of LG’s Convergence Business Development Office.

LG states that new assignments are effective December 1, 2018.
