The Moto Z and Moto Z Force may be up for pre-order today at Verizon and Motorola, but Best Buy appears to have the best deal on the way. Once Best Buy opens up their own pre-orders, they will sell you a Moto Z DROID (review) for just $1 on a 2-year contract extension ($200 off) and toss in the JBL SoundBoost speaker for free ($80 value). According to their promo listing, they will alternately shave $200 off a device payment plan too.

That brings the price to either $1 on a 2-year contract or $17.67 per month with a payment plan. That’s actually a pretty good deal, especially with the free JBL Moto Mod tossed in. As you know from our reviews, the JBL SoundBoost speaker is the one Moto Mod we’d actually recommend.

As of right now, Best Buy is also listing the Moto Z Force DROID at the same price, but I get the feeling that is a mistake. We’ll keep an eye on it and update this post accordingly. If for some reason Best Buy is selling the Force for $1, you might want to jump on it.

UPDATE: Yep, as we suspected, Best Buy is still getting their sh*t together with these listings. It looks like the Moto Z Force DROID will drop to $99 on contract or $21.83 with a payment plan. Not a bad deal.
