What would life be like in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse? Harrowing, if Telltale Games’s The Walking Dead is anything to go by. The tragic series, now in its second season, was released through Google Play yesterday after a period of exclusivity on Kindle Fire devices.

The game is choice-driven, and nearly every decision you make – some innocuous, some heartbreaking – has repercussions. While the overarching plot can only be tailored to an extent, the fate of some characters will depend on how you handle certain situations. A word of advice: don’t get too attached to anyone – zombies are unforgiving little monsters.

The Walking Dead: Season Two is available as a free download, but you will have to pony up $15 for the full season, which will eventually include five episodes.

If you’re interested in fully immersing yourself in The Walking Dead universe, I recommend playing the first season – your decisions carry over, and you’ll be introduced to characters that appear in this season.
