Facebook Brings News Feed Customization Options to Android (Update)

We may earn a commission when you click links to retailers and purchase goods. More info.

An update for Facebook that was originally announced in July for iOS, is set to launch on Android today and will bring updated controls over what you see on the News Feed. This is pretty important, if you are the type of person who hates seeing nothing but memes and silly videos show up at the top of the Facebook page.

Now, you can customize who you see first on News Feed, reconnect with people you have unfollowed (why would I do that?), and discover new pages that likely post nothing but spam. The list of new settings can be found by clicking on the “More” option near the settings menu.

Not only can you select which friends to see first on News Feed, but pages as well. You know, like Droid Life. It’s always good to see what we’ve been posting onto Facebook.

As stated, this update is was made available to iOS back in July and is now available to Android users.

Edit:  Post edited to clarify that these new customization features are now available on Android.
