DROID3 Available for $149 if You Add a New Line

If you haven’t already purchased a DROID3 and don’t mind having to deal with the tiered data plan that you’ll be locked into by adding a new line for one, then you may want to jump on this deal.  Verizon is currently running a promo for new lines that will get you into this phone for $149 which is $50 cheaper than the normal 2-year contract price.  Not a bad deal at all for a phone with a 1GHz dual-core OMAP processor, front and rear cameras, and a shiny new 5-row keyboard.

  • I and also my friends ended up checking out the excellent tactics found on your web page then immediately came up with a terrible suspicion I never thanked the website owner for those strategies. My guys appeared to be as a consequence warmed to study them and already have clearly been loving these things. Thank you for really being really thoughtful and then for deciding upon varieties of quality subject areas most people are really desperate to understand about. Our own sincere apologies for not expressing appreciation to you earlier.

  • Curious

would it be possible to get the new phone on the new line, swap the d3 for the D2 on my unlimited line, then deactivate the tiered line? Just curious.

I just ordered the Droid 3 an hour ago and paid 189.00 for it. I want it for 149!!

Now available at Verizon Wireless. Sign up for any new line and we’ll include one free prison rape session per month for the length if your contract. $50 off any new phone so you can afford lube.

  • Jcorf

Well, I went into Verizon and threatened to leave if they didn’t give me unlimited data and they did!

    chatted 1 minute ago…

Please hold for a Verizon Wireless sales representative to assist you with your order. Thank you for your patience.
You are now chatting with ‘Chiquita’

Chiquita: Hello. Thank you for visiting our chat service.  May I help you with your order today?

Fallsgable: the Droid3 is showing as “out of Stock” already…why?

    Fallsgable: is it oversold already?

Fallsgable: how long would the wait be?

Chiquita: I’d be happy to assist you.

Chiquita: Yes, the droid 3 is currently sold out and at this time we do not have a date that this device will be replenished.

Chiquita: You can check back periodically. Sorry for the inconveniene.

    Chiquita: inconvenience.*

    • Granted

Haha! I pretty much think that wasn’t a live person almost except for the spelling errors. More I think it’s just someone copying and pasting form garbage. And is that a real name, hello my name is Banana, how may I ruinu your day?

  • Mr. Joe

    Add a line?

    It’s a data plan trap!

    • Anonymous

NOOO Veriozon would NEVER DO THAT to it’s customers 🙂

  • I want $50 off my $459 then too!

  • Jeffwoolf95

149.99 plus new activation + 10 a month for the new line + upgrade to family plan phone package + 29.99 data package.. So, in one month the discount is gone and you are now paying 40 more a month for two years.

  • Fallsgable

The “BUY” link does NOT get me the deal or $149 offer you show in the cap…PLUS, VZW already shows it as “Out Of Stock” either because they haven’t actually gotten it yet, or they already over-sold…hhhmmm

  • @wade_county

I’d gladly trade my Thunderbolt for this. I’m not joking.

    • Anonymous

Pretty sure most people would. The thunderbolt was really a disappointment.

      • Anonymous

I love my Tbolt! I know it’s not perfect, but I wouldn’t dream of getting a Moto device. That’s me though… I sincerely hope D3 adopters enjoy it!

  • Iwriteus

Is anyone else shocked that Moto didn’t send out advance units of the D3 for journalists to review?  Why do you think that is?  Are they not really invested in this phone and are putting all their eggs in the Bionic?

    • Anonymous

I think they know they need to get it right with the bionic so they spent all their time and money on that phone. Hopefully it works for them, we shall see in a few weeks.

    • Anonymous

Yeah, I think it’s kind of sad how Verizon and Motorola are giving this no attention at all, no advance units for reviews, no big announcements, no commercials; just released it with little notice.  Hell the droiddoes site defaults to the Charge while the D3 plays second fiddle.

    • Anonymous

I think motorola needs to calm the f down on releasing new phones and fix the updates for the ones they already have.

  • When do you think you’ll get a hands on with the D3, Kellex? I’m only interested because it will probably have similar performance to the Bionic.

  • Downey1971

I have had an upgrade setting on the table for a few months now, while I am considering this phone, I am going to wait until the Bionic comes out and play with both of them in the store before using my upgrade.

  • Fg2srt4

way to encourage us to switch to tiered data verizon  🙂

  • Rob Meyer

Damnit Kel… I saw the top of the photo and says to myself…. OooooOooo Bioinic info… bleh = ) a month left lets start paying off testers for a peak.

  • Captainhowdy13

What if I have an old non data phone to put on that line? Still need tiered data?

    • Anonymous

    • Maybe, if you can somehow find an old phone that doesn’t do data and is just a phone, but even the “Feature Phones” require some data plan.

      • Granted

        What is the Matrix like?

    • If you’ve bought two smartphones at discounted prices you need tiered data on the lines of both smartphones for the duration of the contract

Seriously, where do you people think they make up the subsidy? The non tiered data would be $240 for 2 years.. $390 total less than the price of the phone! Think

      • Anonymous

actually it would be 360 not 240 for the data price. 29.99*12=360 idk where or how you got 240
