DROID Incredible 2 Press Shots Revealed Along with Red Eye

I’d say we’re getting pretty close to a release of the Incredible 2 if press images are starting to leak out, wouldn’t you?  After seeing new shots of the device leak out this morning from a tester followed by these images that will accompany an official announcement, I’d say we’re almost there.  Oh, and look at that, the DROID red eye that comes with every DROID-branded phone.  Looks pretty similar to the eye from the original, but maybe a little larger?

the most crucial question for this phone: will the battery last longer than the original?

  • http://profiles.google.com/johnslangster John Lang

    This phone looks sweet.
HTC is going to be a profitable company if they keep putting out
    nice hardware like this.
That back is unique, different. Shape seems pocket friendly.
    HTC –> FTW

I think it looks unique… forgive htc for not giving u a simple rectangle with an antenna on the outside calling it revolutionary and then ending up as a major flaw. i know this is old but you have to wonder if they even attempted to make a call with that phone before they released it with such a major flaw..

This.. made me happy I got the Thunderbolt. :D

  • Djxxflykid

Im a big android fan but why release 2 HTC phones that exactly the same but with a little difference in the screen size. I just don’t get it

Anybody else not a fan of the cap button icon changes? I swear HTC got it right with the DrInc’s arrangement and style.

Can you get a live wallpaper of the new Droid eye, in apk, for us to download. One of the biggest things I miss is getting Droid Eye live wallpapers from this site, used to happen like every week.

    • http://twitter.com/NovembersDirge The Observer

Not stock. It will be running Sense.

    • Anonymous

if it is, that’s my next phone. i don’t care it’s not dual-core. i don’t care it’s not LTE capable. vanilla android FTW! screw manufacturer skins!

  • OG

Looks good, I’m fine with my Incredible now but would wait out to see how the LTE RIL situation pans out for the Thunderbolt….I have a feeling this one will be easier tinker with minus the LTE radio.

The new Droid eye looks like me after a couple of bowls. I like it.

    • Jawshua

Same here when I smoke “bowls” of Elmer’s Glue.

    • Anonymous

      Oh, plus one sir

  • Anonymous

Looks better than the first one (i’m into no buttons:)) sorry off topic, but has anyone gone into verizon about their battery on the tbolt? If so, has anyone seen better life on their so called “extended” battery??

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_I7J4Z55BLI6W3OMFGRZZFNVLQA John

the droid eye thing is exactly the same but it doesnt really matter anyway

    • Derickmc

its not exactly the same.. the original eye from the incredible had two red dots circling the eye.. This one does not appear to have that..

  • Mr.Joe

    Where’s the HDMI HTC?

  • Kevoskee

I wish my eyes was like that. It would be incredible, Droid Incredible

    • http://www.facebook.com/ThornfullessRose Devin Jones

      nice XD

  • Alphabets13

i do like the look of it, ut since 4G has been announced in my city i think i will wait for something 4g.

  • Logan

I don’t see how this will have wireless charging…. unless there is some new tech i don’t know about.

    • Anonymous

Some version of the Powermat style.

  • Worm4603

Does look good? If I am not mistaken I spot some differences from incredible s. Don’t have 4g in my area yet, and won’t for a while. Still would like a dual core processor

  • Anonymous

After having my original Incredible since May, I need to figure out how to get Verizon to let me get this. Hmmmm. Any suggestions?

    • )v(urphy

Threaten to leave them. For AT&T.

  • Anonymous

    Ill stick with my thunderbolt.

    • YourMomsTwaht

      You mean nobatterylifeBolt?

      • http://www.facebook.com/ThornfullessRose Devin Jones

        LOL

      • Anonymous

You just need to know a thing or two on tweaking to get better life out of it….. Goes for anything android.

      • Anonymous

        Lmao

      • Mdburton11

On my Thunderbolt the battery is good

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=25001493 Hank Godwin

You sound like a jealous idiot. I don’t have a Thunderbolt, but I also don’t feel the need to point out flaws every chance I get.

        • Anonymous

His name says it all. Late teens, early twenties(if not, he’s a real diq) and thinks the world owes him something.

      • Gbpack92

Don’t understand the Thunderbolt battery-life complaints?
Mine is great – def as good as, if not better than, my OG Droid and my Dinc.
        Love it.

  • )v(urphy

Understandable, but who announces a phone 6 months from release?? Not to dip into he fanboyism that is Apple but they announce something and it comes out within 2 weeks…jus sayin…take for example the iPad 2…just frustrating…the Bionic better be damn near God-like, they’ve had all this time.

    • Derickmc

I dont even think the Incredible 2 has been Officially announced yet (other than the UK version)… I could be wrong but most of the info and screenshots of most android devices are leaks… They’re not official announcements months before the device actually hits stores. Official announcements generally do occur within a week or two of the release date… Dont confuse LEAKS with ANNOUNCEMENTS. :)

  • strows

Love my Thunderbolt but I will be picking this up for my daughter. This will be her first smart phone and what better way to welcome her to world of smartphones than with a Dinc 2!!!

  • )v(urphy

How is that the Bionic was announced in January, yet HTC is releasing phones at the speed of light(ning)? C’mon Moto, what is the hold up??

    • Anonymous

they are releasing single core phones still dont forget…

it hasn’t been “announced” yet.. Just because you find information on a phone months before its release, doesnt mean its been announced. A lot of information has “Leaked” about the Bionic but nothing has been officially announced. I actually enjoy hearing about devices long before they come out because it gives me time to research them and compare them to current devices as well as other “leaked” devices coming in the future.

          • Anonymous

The Bionic was at announced at CES. A launch date has not been announced yet.

      • Atrix84

What does single core have to do with the release of a phone? The atrix is out already and with that said, if the bionic Is like my atrix you will not notice better performance over an inspire or thunderbolt

        • Anonymous

Bionic was also listed as a summer/june phone, I think the carriers have alot to do with release schedules and april was already planned out months ago. droid incredible 2 in april, droid x2 may, bionic june, droid 3 july maybe? hard to guess at this point.

        • angermeans

I would be willing to bet that not only that the atrix (like you said) you won’t notice a difference in speed, but I would be willing to bet the bolt, inspir, and atrix will even feel faster than the bionic as it has 512mb of ram compared to 1gb in atrix and 768 ram in bolt and inspire.

          • tjhrulz

my overclocked to 1.25 ghz OG droid felt slower (and in tests was) than my droid 2 I had to get the other day. RAM does have a big increase in speed.

          • Atrix84

            Well said

    • YourMomsTwaht

Nothing is released yet, only pics.

  • Skaguyy

Jersey needs some 4G…otherwise I’ll be getting one of these

    • Eric

I’m in Jersey and I’m on 4G at work with my tbolt. If you look at the coverage map you’ll see a big swath of coverage from Philly diagonally across the state to NYC. Unfortunately my apartment is just outside of that but I’m sure they’ll be expanding coverage soon in their home state.

  • Anonymous

Looks cool, but now that I’ve been rocking 4G 24/7 for the past 3 weeks, there’s no way I can ever go back.

  • Anonymous

Looks pretty sexy. I would snag this, but after having 4G on my Thunderbolt, it’ll be hard to go back.

That is a nice looking phone, but I am so glad I got the Thunderbolt. Might have to pick this one up for the wife though.

    This is sexy.

      Best Droid eye yet!

      • Anonymous

Same as the original Incredible. Am I missing something?

        • Derickmc

?? The hardware is very similar minus the front camera, a bit more ram, and a larger screen. But the look of the phone is similar but has quite a few noticeable differences
